Effects Of Transport Stress On The Health And Kidney Faction Of Newborn Chicks

In modern poultry production,transportation was the production of poultry that must be experienced.In the course of transport,transport stress caused the decline in performance and decreased muscle flesh,egg production and immune function,seriously endangering the health and welfare of poultry.After the newborn chicks out of their shells,the transport from the hatchery to the nursery was inevitable;however,the transport stress had little effect on its harm and mechanism.In this study,the chicks were selected as the tested animals.Compared with the road and laboratory,the changes of body weight,kidney function,antioxidant capacity and expression of heat shock protein response were measured before and after transportation.The results showed that:1.Transport stress caused newborn chicks to lose weight significantly,serum creatinine(Cre)and urea nitrogen(Urea)levels were significantly increased,leading to renal dysfunction.2.Transport stress may be one of the reasons for the loss of weight of newborn chicks caused the steady state imbalance of calcium(Ca2+),Sodium ion(Na2+),magnesium ion(Mg2+),and potassium ion(K+)in serum of newborn chicks.3.Transport stress caused the increase of MDA and H2O2 in the kidney tissues of newborn chicks,the activity of T-AOC,level T-SOD,CAT and GST activity were decreased and then induced oxidative stress.This may be one of the mechanisms that caused kidney damage.4.The expression of HSF1(HSF1,HSF2,HSF3)in renal tissue of newborn chicks was decreased;the expression of hspllO,hsp90,hsp47,hsp25,hsp70,hsp60 and hsp27 in the heat shock protein(HSPs)family decreased;Hsp40 expression increased;HSP70 and HSP60 protein levels decreased first and then increased with the stress time.This might be one of the effects of the body's anti-stress effect.In all,transport stress caused the lose weight,serum ion disorder,abnormal kidney function and oxidative stress in the newborn chicks,then cause kidney damage,while inducing HSP to play an anti-stress effect.
