Peste des petits ruminants(PPR)is caused by peste des petits ruminants virus(PPRV)and brings highly contagious infectious diseases to small ruminants.As the same as world organization for animal health(OIE),this disease is listed as a class A infectious animal disease in China.In February 2014,PPR outbreaked in Ningxia,and caused serious losses to the local breeding industry.In this study,the immune status of PPRV was monitored by serology and pathogen methods,the PPRV-F gene of Ningxia isolate was amplified.The main results were listed as follows.In 2014,an infectious disease in goats occurred in Yanchi county of Ningxia.According to the clinical symptoms,pathological lesions,epidemiological survey,serological and molecular biological tests,the case of PPR was diagnosed.The PPRV-F gene of Ningxia isolate was amplified successfully by RT-PCR,the size of this gene is about 1600 bp,encoding 546 amino acids with a molecular weight of 59.2 ku.Phylogenetic analysis showed that the F gene of PPRV Ningxia isolate was highly homologous to the 8 strains isolated from China(99.6% to 98.1%),all of them belong to IV line.From 2014 to 2017,the antibodies against PPR vaccine were monitored by the PPRV ELISA kit.The dynamic monitoring of antibodies within one month showed that the positive rate of antibodies was more than 80% 7 days after immunization.From 2014 to 2017,14489 serum samples were collected and 13613 positive samples were detected,with a positive rate of 93.95%.The annual positive rate of antibodies against PPR vaccine was more than 80%,and over the national standard of 70%.The positive rate of pathogen detection by RT-PCR was 0.94%(35/3738).After four years of sustained vaccination,antibody monitoring and strict biosecurity measures,the outbreak of PPR in Ningxia was effectively controlled.
