It is a common problem that the yolk of laying hen in the cage is very shallow.The problem of laying hen is more prominent in the old age(40 weeks old),and the quality of the egg shell is worse.Capsicum red pigment and dried tangerine peel powder are natural plant feed,which contain a lot of functional ingredients.Research indicates both of them have some certain effects on prevention.This paper was conducted to test the influence of dietary supplementation,with capsanthin and dried tangerine peel powder on performance of laying hens and the changes of egg quality in late period.1.The first experiment is in order to observe the effect of capsicum red pigment on the production performance and egg quality of layers in the late laying period,460days-old Hy-line commercial hens were choosen.Test group were added 0.02%、 0.07%、0.12%、0.17%、0.22% paprika red pigment respectively in basic diet.The test period is 18 days.The results were as follows:The additive of 0.12%,0.17%,0.22% were significantly different(P <0.05),and Roche colorimetric grade was about 10.With adding capsicum red pigment,the color of the egg shell was darker but not significant(P >0.05).There was no significant difference between the test group and the control group on the laying hens’ performance and other egg yolk color(P > 0.05).This experiment shows that 0.12%-0.22% capsicum red pigment additive is best.2.The second experiment was conducted to test the influence of tangerine peel powder on the production performance and egg quality of layers in the late laying period.460 days-old Hy-line commercial hens were choosen.Test group 0 was control group,feeding basic diet,The test group was supplemented with 0.5 %%,1.5%,2%,2.5%,3%,3.5% paprika red pigment respectively in basic diet.The test period is 35 days.The results were as follows: With the increase of adding amount of material eggs are reduced with the increase of the content,average egg weight,daily consumption capacity is improved,but had no significant influence(P > 0.05).The rate rise when the increase of adding amount of adding amount was 2.5%,3%,3.5% rate,compared with the control group,it has significant difference(P < 0.05).Egg yolk color,when added the amount of 2.5%,3%,3.5% additive,significant difference was found compared with control group(P <0.05).Hartz unit,eggshell color,eggshell thickness,eggshell strength,eggshell ratio,with the increase of adding amount and test time,they are improved,but there is no significant difference between control group and test groups(P > 0.05).Dried tangerine peel powderhad a greater influence on the flavor and taste,when adding amount was 3%,3.5%,and the control group significant difference.Therefore,add dried tangerine peel powder feed can not only improve the production performance of laying hens,also can improve the quality of the eggs.Other qualities are also has a tendency of rise,but doesn’t has significant difference,this experiment shows that 2.5%-3.5% additive is best for egg quality and high production performance.3.This third experiment was conducted to test the influence of capsicum red pigment and tangerine peel powder,when used in combination,on the production performance and egg quality of layers in the late laying period.The test period is 35 days.Capsicum red pigment of 0.12%,0.17%and 0.22% and 2.5%,3%and3.5%of the dried tangerine peel powder were added to based diet to do orthogonal full implementation of the test.By measuring rate,average egg weight,egg,egg yolk color,hartz unit eggshell strength,eggshell thickness,eggshell color and,experimental results show that the combination additive of 0.17% capsicum red pigment and 3% tangerine peel powder is best on the production performance and egg quality.The effect of yolk p H and egg white p H was not significant(P > 0.05).And the effect of egg yolk moisture and protein water was not significant(P > 0.05).Egg quality is generally getting lower in the late production,such as egg shell quality is poor,egg yolk color is shallow,production performance is reduced,etc.Adding additives of capsicum red pigment and dried tangerine peel powder combination not only can improve the production performance of laying hens,but also could improve the quality of eggs on various aspects,which has important significance for the late pink shell laying hens breeding.
