Studies On Application And Drought Resistance Of Different Kinds Of Lavender

Lavender are small shrubs of labiatae that have strong branches and leaves,mysterious flowers and high ornamental value,which are the plant material of create landscape of parterre,flower border and romantic flower sea.While lavender are aromatic plants of high value,and they are precious natural spices that have aroma in all leaves,stems and flowers,especially comfortable based on strong fragrance,which no stimulation,nontoxic.Thus they are widely used in medicine,cosmetics,food and other industries.At present all over the world are introducing lavender.It has more and more introduction about lavender for academia,while most focused on the lavender of south and Xinjiang,and it reported economic-production and drought-tolerance of the lavender of Inner Mongolia,so that ignoring the diversity of the region.This paper research the different varieties of the lavender from Inner Mongolia namely CASO1#tooth-leaf lavender(Lavandula dentata),CAS07#thin-leaf lavender(Lavandula angustifolia)and CAS16#broad-leaf lavender(Lavandula latifolia),observing botany characteristics;the economic-production(essential oil and hydrosol)were extracted by using steam distillation,the chemical constituents and relative contents were analyzed by GC-MS,thus evaluating the quality;Making the drought resistance to observe the phytomorph,measure the soil moisture content,malonaldehyde content and electrical conductirity,analyzing the drought-tolerance through the fuzzy mathematics membership function.All in all,this study amis to rich the landscape materials for Inner Mongolia region,push the industrialization of lavender economical products,supply a theoretical scientific basis for further study of lavender on the future.Here is the list of the main conclusions of this study:(1)It has different varieties of shape of the lavender form Inner Mongolia:CAS01#and CAS 16#can be used as an ornamental shrub that have strong branches and leaves,characteristic leaf and flower;CAS07#be made as plant adornment for parterre,flower border since small phytomorph and blossom.(2)The yield and physicochemical properties of economic-production of different kinds of lavender form Inner Mongolia are different because of different varieties.CAS01#:The oil has low yield,low quality,the richest component type,the lowest effective component;the hydrosol has turbid liquid,pungent smell,the most chemical constituents,strong antioxidant activity,high quality.CAS07#:The oil has the highest yield,high quality,the least component type,the highest effective component and adaptable proportion;the hydrosol has has the clear liquid,best smell,and more chemical constituents,the strongest antioxidant activity,the highest quality.CAS16#:The oil has high yield,common quality,rich component type,common effective component;the hydrosol has has the clear liquid,flat smell,and little chemical constituents,the strongest antioxidant activity,poor quality.Essential oil rate:CAS07#>CAS16#>CASO1#,essential oil quality:CAS07#>CAS16#>CASO1#,hydrosol quality:CAS07#>CAS01#>CAS 16#.(3)AIl the different varieties of lavender form Inner Mongolia are drooping,crimping,thinner,brown and yellowing under the drought stress,and the CAS07#has the longest vitality.As the time of drought stress went on,the soil moisture content declined,the water drops:CAS16#>CAS01#>CAS07#;the MDA content of plant gradually increased,the increases:CAS16#>CAS01#>CAS07#;the electrical conductirity of plant gradually increased,the increases:CAS16#>CAS01#>CAS07#.Analyzing the drought-tolerance through the multi-index fuzzy mathematics membership function concluded that:CAS07#>CAS01#>CAS16#.In summary,CAS01#and CAS 16#can be used as ornamental lavender cultivated,planting cover,beautifying environment.CAS07#has economic value and better drought resistance,so it can be cultivated and developed in arid region of Inner Mongolia.
