The objective of this study was to improve the quality of fermentation total mixed ration(FTMR)mainly containing common vetch in Rikaze region local dairy farm of Tibet, this experiment mainly consisted of two parts.Part one:evaluate the effects of replacing common vetch with different ratios of distillers’ grains on the fermentation quality, aerobic stability and in vitro digestibility of FTMR,to determine the appropriate replacement level of distillers’ grains.Part two:add four antifungal additive including Lactobacillus buchneri(LB),Calcium Propionate(CAP),Sodium Diacetate(SDA)and Potassium Sorbate(PS)to evaluate the effects of additives on the fermentation quality and aerobic stability of TMR.That supply theoretical evidences for the development and utilization of forage and additives in Tibet.1.Study on the effects of replacement of common vetch with different ratios of distillers’ grains on the fermentation quality, aerobic stability and in vitro digestibility of TMR.1.1.The effects of replacement of common vetch with different ratios of distillers’grains on the fermentation quality of TMR.The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effects of replacement of common vetch with different ratios of distillers’ grains on the fermentation quality of FTMR in Tibet. We used wet brewers’ grains(B)and wet hulless barley distillers’ grains(H)separately to replace common vetch gradually, and according to different distillers, grains proportion of TMR of fresh weight, there were four treatments as follow:control(0%),10%B and 10%H,20%B and20%H,30%B and30%H.Silos were opened on 70 days. The results showed that all silages were well preserved, with the increase of the proportion of distillers’grains, the lactic acid and acetic acid contents in treatment silage increased significantly(P<0.05),pH,NH3-N/TN and butyric acid content decreased significantly(P<0.05)as compared with the control silage, dry matter recovery and crude protein content of treatment group were significantly(P<0.05)higher than the control, there were no significant difference(P>0.05)in ADF,NDF,Ash,and EE contents.1.2.The effects of replacement of common vetch with different ratios of distillers’grains on the aerobic stability of TMR.All silos were opened after 70 days of ensiling,we estimated the aerobic stability of silage in combination of temperature variations recorded by the online multi-channel data logger temperature recorder and chemical composition analysis of samples got at the 6th,9th and 14th day of exposure to air.The results showed that treated silages improved aerobic stability.During the aerobic exposing period, the control silage began to aerobic deteriorate after 23 8h as indicated by dramatic rise in pH and decline in the lactic acid, acetic acid and water soluble carbohydrate content, however, the pH of the distillers’ grains treatment rose slowly, and the lactic acid, acetic acid and water soluble carbohydrate contents reduced gradually,in addition, the temperature of silage did not increase of 2℃above environment temperature within the 14 days of aerobic exposure, which indicated that the treatment significantly improved the aerobic stability as compared with the control.1.3.The effects of replacement of common vetch with different ratios of distillers’grains on the in vitro digestibility of TMR.After 72 h of in vitro culture, the results showed that with increase of proportion of distillers’ grains, the IVDMD,IVNDFD and IVADFD are increasing, the distiller’s grains treatment group were significantly(P<0.05)higher than the control. In the process of the in vitro, gas production of distiller’s grains treatment group were significantly(P<0.05)higher than the control and with increasing replacement ratio of distiller’s grains, the gas production increased gradually,of which 30%group was the highest.2.Study on the effect of different antifungal additives on the fermentation quality and aerobic stability of TMR.2.1.The effects of adding laciobacillus buchneri, calcium propionate, sodium diacetate and potassium sorbate on the fermentation quality of TMR.The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of lactobacillus buchneri, calcium propionate, sodium diacetate and potassium sorbate on the fermentation quality of FTMR prepared in Tibet. The treatments were as follow:no additives(Control),lactobacillus buchneri(LB,106cfu/g),calcium propionate(CAP,0.5%),sodium diacetate(SDA,0.5%)and potassium sorbate(PS,0.1%).All silos were opened after 70 days of ensiling, and then determined the fermentation quality. The result showed that the four TMR silages were of good quality with low pH value and NH3-N contents, and high lactic acid contents.Adding SDA and PS significantly(P<0.05)decreased pH,while there was no significant difference(P>0.05)between LB group and CAP group as compared with the control.Adding SDA and PS significantly(P<0.05)increased the dry matter content and dry matter recovery of FTMR,while the addition of LB significantly(P<0.05)reduced the dry matter content and dry matter recovery rate of FTMR.Adding LB,SDA and PS significantly(P<0.05)reduced the number of yeast, and the adding CAP had little effect on the number of yeast. The four kinds of additives were significantly(P<0.05)reduced the number of mold, the CAP group,SDA group and PS group had significant effect.2.2.The effects of adding lactobacillus buchneri, calcium propionate, sodium diacetate and potassium sorbate on the aerobic stability of TMR.The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of lactobacillus buchneri, calcium propionate, sodium diacetate and potassium sorbate on the aerobic stability of FTMR prepared in Tibet. All silos were opened after 70 days of ensiling, and then sampled on 6,9 and 14 day in which TMR silages were subjected to an aerobic stability evaluation.During the whole aerobic exposure period, the yeast numbers of control silage were more than1×105cfu/g·FM,pH rise significantly(P<0.05),lactic acid decreased significantly(P<0.05),at the same time, the control silage increase of 2 ℃ above environment temperature, showing that the control silage began to aerobic deteriorate after 23 8h.In contrast, the yeast numbers,pH and NH3-N/TN increased slowly in TMR silage treated with additives, lactic acid,WSC and acetic acid contents decreased slowly in TMR silage treated with additives. In addition, the temperature of treatment silage did not increase of 2℃above environment temperature, which indicated that the treatment significantly improved the aerobic stability as compared with the control.
