2-hydroxy-4-(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester is a kind of rumen-protected methionine additive, which have high relative biological value, and it can be absorbed by ruminants This study investigates the effects of 2-hydroxy-4-(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester on the growth performance, slaughter performance, blood indexes and some retated gene expression on ovis aries, and at the same time,A fatten experiment was done by a kind of whole mixture granulation of ruminant.Contents and results as follows:1.The experiment aimed to evaluate the effects of 2-hydroxy-4(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester on the growth performance and blood indecators on ovis aries in different protein levels.(Method)The research used double factor randomized block design.40 weaned lambs was divided into 4 groups. The control group of low protein level(LC group),the control group of high protein level(HC group),the treatment group of high protein(HT group),the treatment group of high protein level(HT group),the treatment group was fed with the product of 2-hydroxy-4(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester. The results:1)HMBi had a significant impact on improving daily gain of total Ovis aries and rams(P<0.05).2)HMBi can reduce Cholesterol levels(P<0.05)3)HMBi can improve IGF-1 level significantly(P<0.05).HMBi had a significant influence on the lipase activity(P<0.05).4)The interaction between HMBi and protein level had significant effect on lipase activity and INS level.2.This experiment aimed to evaluate the effects of 2-hydroxy-4(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester on the slaughter performance and some related gene expression on ovis aries. The groups were divided as the same as the group of test 1.(Result)The results:1)HMBi had a significant effect on the slaughter rate(P<0.05).2)HMBi had significant effect on the PH1 and meat color a(P<0.05).There were very significant effect on the gluteus medius muscle' intramuscular fat(P<0.01).3)The interaction between HMBi and protein level had significant effect on water and intramuscular fat of intercostal muscle(P<0.05),and had very significant effect on protein of gluteus medius(P = 0.01).3)HMBi can improve the expression of FABP3 mRNA and mTOR mRNA,and reduce the expression of LPL mRNA.The interaction between protein level and HMBi had no significant effect on the slaughter performance(P>0.05).3.To research and spread a kind of forage that suit for fattening lambs, the research selected two kinds of commercioganic forage compared with the whole mixture granulation of ruminant(MR).(Method)30 weaned lambs was divided into 3 groups, group ? fed with concentrate supplement 1,group ? fed with concentrate supplement 2,group ? fed with MR.(Result)1)The results showed that the average daily gain of group ? was higher than other groups. It was higher than group I observably(P<0.05).In the condition of increasing weight, the cost of group ? is the lowest one,the economic benefit is the highest one,and it can reduced to waste of hay.The growth velocity of weight increment of group ? is the fastest one.2)The slaughter rate of group ? was positively higher than that in group?(P<0.01),and the slaughter rate in group ? was significantly higher than that in group?(P<0.05).MR can reduce diarrhea rate. The contents of triglyceride of group ? was significantly higher than those in group ?(P<0.05).The blood fat of MR is the highest one,but it can reduce total cholesterol level. The content of insulin of group ? was significantly higher than that in group ?(P<0.01),The leptin level in group ? and ? was significantly higher than that in group ?.In a word,2-hydroxy-4-(methylthio)-butanoic acid isopropyl ester can improve daily gain, slaughter rate, intramuscular fat of Ovis aries.HMBi can reduce total cholesterol level.HMBi can effect at blood hormone. It can also improve the expression of FABP3 mRNA and mTOR mRNA,and reduce the expression of LPL mRNA.MR can raise the growth performance of sheep, and improved the level of blood lipid metabolismt,It can also save feed and manpower,it is worthy for recommendation.
