Study On Allelopathy Of Seed Germination And Tissue Extracts Of Different Varieties Of Red Clover

Red clover is one of the important legume forage,and they have significant allelopathic effect on other plants.In order to provide references for developping a reasonable production plan and making full use of allelopathic effects of red clover,we studied the allelopathic effects of seed germination and tissue extracts of different varieties of red clover.In the experiment,three different kinds of red clover were chosen,and we studied the allelopathic effects of different treatments on seed germination and seedling growth of Italian ryegrass and barnyardgrass by the method of biological detection.The different treatments were as follows:there were 5 different treatments(10/plate,20/plate,30/plate,40/plate and 50/plate)of seed germination of red clover,and 4 different treatments(5%,7.5%,10%and 15%)in the analysis of different tissue extracts of red clover in the branching stage.Experimental results showed that:(1)At the treatment of 50/plate,seed germination of altaswede inhibited germination rate of Italian ryegrass significantly,and root length was significantly inhibited at each treatment,and shoot length and shoot fresh weight significantly increased at the treatment of 40/plate.At the treatment of badong's 50/plate,Italian ryegrass's root length,shoot and root fresh weight were significantly suppressed and respectively decreased 13.87%,18.31%and 11.08%,at the same time,shoot dry weight was significantly inhibited at the treatment of 40/plate to 50/plate,the same as root dry weight at the treatment of 30/plate to 50/plate.At the treatment of 20/plate to 50/plate of the brilliant's seed germination,Italian ryegrass's root length and root dry weight were significantly inhibited,and shoot and root fresh weight were also inhibited significantly at 30/plate to 50/plate.At the treatment of 50/plate,seed germination of altaswede inhibited germination rate and root length of bamyardgrass significantly.At each treatment of badong's seed germination,barnyardgrass's seed germination,shoot and root length,shoot and root fresh weight and shoot dry weight were significantly inhibited,and root dry weight significantly reduced 9.30%at the treatment of 50/plate.Judging from the synthesis effect,allelopathic effect of seed germination had much to do with the variety of red clover:the brilliant's allelopathic inhibition was strongest for Italian ryegrass,and for barnyardgrass,it was badong,while altaswede's allelopathic inhibition was weakest for Italian ryegrass or barnyardgrass.(2)At each concentration of badong's leaf extracts,germination energy and shoot length of Italian ryegrass were promoted significantly,while root length and root dry weight significantly decreased at the treatment of 15%.Each concentration of badong's root extracts significantly facilitated Italian ryegrass's germination energy,shoot length and shoot dry weight,but root fresh weight significantly decreased at the concentration of 10%and 15%.At the concentration of 10%and 15%,the brilliant's leaf extracts made Italian ryegrass's root length and root fresh weight been significantly inhibited,and the concentration of 15%maximized the inhibition,respectively,reduced 25.44%and 43.18%.15%of the brilliant's root extracts made Italian ryegrass's germination rate decrease significantly;7.5%to 15%of the brilliant's root extracts significantly inhibited Italian ryegrass's root length and root fresh weight,and with the increasing of concentration,the inhibition was increasing,and decreased 40.34%and 44.1%respectively at the concentration of 15%.At each concentration of badong's leaf extracts,germination energy,shoot length and shoot fresh weight of barnyardgrass were promoted significantly.Barnyardgrass's germination energy,root length and root fresh were also significantly promoted at each concentration of badong's root extracts.Judging from the synthesis effect:the inhibitory effect of the brilliant's tissue extracts was greater than badong's for Italian ryegrass,and the inhibition of root extracts was greater than leaf extracts;barnyardgrass was insensitive to tissue extracts of badong and the brilliant.(3)At the treatment of 40/plate and 50/plate,root activities of Italian ryegrass were significantly inhibited by badong's seed germination.At the treatment of tissue extracts:each concentration of the brilliant's leaf extracts and badong's root extracts significantly promoted Italian ryegrass's root activities,while badong's leaf extracts and the brilliant's root extracts significantly promoted Italian ryegrass's root activities at the concentration of 10%and 15%,and the rest of treatments were not significant.Badong's leaf and root extracts at each treatment significantly promoted the increase of barnyardgrass's root activities,and 10%to 15%of the brilliant's leaf extracts significantly promoted root activities,while 7.5%to 15%of the brilliant's root extracts made root activities been significantly inhibited.(4)The activities of antioxidant enzymes and MDA content of recipient plants would changed when they were under the environment with allelochemicals.At the treatment of seed germination of red clover:Italian ryegrass's SOD activities significantly increased at each treatment of altaswede,and POD activities in addition to being significantly promoted at 10/plate,were all significantly inhibited,and CAT activities and MDA content were all significantly higher than control's except for the non-significance at 50/plate;10/plate of badong significantly promoted the increase of Italian ryegrass's POD activities,and then POD activities falled off,and lower than the control's significantly at 50/plate,and CAT activities were significantly higher than the control's in each treatment;at the treatment of 20/plate to 50/plate,the brilliant's seed germination significantly promoted Italian ryegrass's SOD activities and inhibited POD activities,and CAT activities were significantly higher than the control's in all treatments.At the treatment of altaswede's 10/plate,bamyardgrass's SOD and CAT activities were significantly promoted,and under other treatments,SOD activities were significantly inhibited;at the treatment of 10/plate,seed germination of badong promoted barnyardgrass's SOD activities significantly,and at other treatments,SOD activities were significantly inhibited,and CAT activities and MDA content in each treatment were significantly higher than the control's;at each treatment,the brilliant's seed germination significantly inhibited barnyardgrass's POD activities,while CAT activities significantly enhanced,and the accumulation of MDA was also significantly higher than the control's.(5)At the treatment of tissue extracts:at each concentration of badong's leaf extracts,'Italian ryegrass's SOD activities were significantly promoted,and POD activities significantly increased at 5%to 10%;at the treatment of the brilliant's leaf extracts,Italian ryegrass's POD activities were significantly inhibited at 7.5%to 15%,while CAT activities were significantly promoted at 5%and 7.5%;at each concentration of badong's root extracts,Italian ryegrass's SOD,POD and CAT activities were significantly facilitated,and MDA content had no significant difference with the control's except for a significant increase at the concentration of 7.5%;at the treatment of the brilliant's root extracts,Italian ryegrass's SOD activities were significantly promoted at 5%to 10%,while be significantly inhibited at 15%,and POD and CAT activities were significantly enhanced at 5%and 7.5%,while the treatment of 10%and 15%significantly lowered POD activities,and CAT activities were not significant with the control's.At each concentration of badong's leaf extracts,barnyardgrass's SOD activities were significantly promoted,and POD activities were significantly enhanced at 5%and 7.5%,and CAT activities were significantly inhibited at each concentration;the brilliant's each concentration of leaf extracts significantly inhibited barnyardgrass's SOD,POD and CAT activities;barnyardgrass's CAT activities were significantly inhibited at each concentration of badong's root extracts;at the treatment of the brilliant's root extracts,barnyardgrass's CAT activities significantly increased at the concentration of 10%,and MDA content significantly increased at 5%to 10%,but it significantly reduced at the treatment of 15%.
