Effect Of Urea-ammonium Mixed Nitrogen Fertilizer On Crop Growth In Jiangsu Province

Based on the synergistic effect of two different nitrogen forms,urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer is developed from ammonium nitrogen and amide nitrogen.Therefore,urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer is a new kind of mixed nitogen fertilzier,whose application has a positive potentials in improve the rate of fertilizer utilization and reduce environmental pollution from conventional fertilization application.However,there is still lacking evaluation on the application effect of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer for crop growth.Herein,a serial of field experiments of rice,wheat and maize were carried out in these cities of Yangzhong,Zhangjiagang and Pizhou City,Jiangsu Province,China.All these experiments and comparation can provide a theoretical basis for promoting this new nitrogen fertilizer on increasing crop yield.The main results are listed as follows.(1)Urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer can promote the rice tillers can promote the rice tillers significantly,20 days after planting the seedling,the number of rice sprouting number of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer treatment is 3.40×106/hm2,while that of the same nitrogen content as urea treatment is 2.84×106/hm2,increased rice sprouting number by 5.6×105/hm2(19.7%).At the harvest time,the number of effective panicle number of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer treatment is 2.79×106/hm2 while that of the same nitrogen content as urea treatment is 2.52×106/hm2,increased effective panicle number by 2.7×105/hm2(19.7%).The yield of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer treatment was 8591 kg/hm2,received the same level as urea treatment,comparing with that of the conventional fertilization treatment,the yield increased by 4%(330 kg/hm2).In the same amount of nitrogen fertilizer application,urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer have no obvious effect on inrease the rice yield,but urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer can improve improve the rate of fertilizer utilization significantly.(2)The efficency of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer as top-dressed for wheat life period is much higher than ammonium chloride,urea,and ammonium bicarbonate in the wet alkaline soil.The amount of seasonal absorbability(absorption rate)increased by 24.04 kg/hm2(12.83%),47.69 kg/hm2(25.44%),and 76.26 kg/hm2(40.67%),compared with those of ammonium chloride,urea and ammonium bicarbonate respectively.In acid paddy soil,the amount of absorbability(absorption rate)decreased by 34.83 kg/hm2(4.84%),5.87 kg/hm2(3.13%),and 76.26 kg/hm2(24.36%),compared with those of ammonium chloride,urea and ammonium bicarbonate respectively.In wet alkaline soils,the yield of wheat is 7494 kg/hm2,which is significantly higher than the ammonium bicarbonate and urea treatments,while the yield did not reach a significance improvement,compared with single ammonium chloride treatment.In acid paddy soil,the yield of wheat do increase,compared with urea and ammonium bicarbonate,but the increasing part yield was not obvious.(3)The efficency of urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer for maize is significantly higher than ammonium chloride,urea,and ammonium bicarbonate.Urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer is quick releasing and can avoid being applied directly to crops.What's more,when applied the fertilizers at the same nitrogen content level,the chlorine ions can effectively inhibit nitrification of ammonium nitrogen to reduce the loss of nitrogen.urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer can well meet the demands of the crop which prefer ammonium nitrogen.At the same nitrogen content level,urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer can performed well in promoting maize growth,i.e.,increasing the perimeter of corncob by 14.5 cm,declining the length of the bare tip of maize ear by 0.88 cm.The yield of maize applied with urea-ammonium mixed nitrogen fertilizer increased by 73 kg/hm2(1.6%),compared with the conventional urea fertilization treatment.
