Abstract/Summary:
Paphiopedilum Pfitz is a important group of ornamental plants,which had high economic value and ornamental value.However,there are still some existing problems that need be overcome,such as the difficult seedling production,the slow growth rate and the difficult florescence regulation which seriously restricts the development of its industry.There are few reports of the effect of fertilization and plant growth regulators on growth and florescence regulation of Paphiopedilum Maudiae.In the paper,the effect of seedlings hardening in greenhouse on transplanntion and the effect of three ‘Peters professional ’fertilizers on the growth and flowering of P.Maudiae were studied and the main results are showed as follows.1.Effect of seedlings hardening in greenhouse on transplantion of P.MaudiaeThe stomate mumber,stomatal density and stomatal opening rate of seedlings in vitro,seedlings in vitro hardened in greenhouse for 10 d,and seedlings in vitro of P.Maudiae transplanted in greenhouse for 15 d,30 d and 45 d were observed and found that the stomate mumber,stomatal density and stomatal opening rate of seedlings in vitro were significant difference compared with the seedlings in vitro hardened in greenhouse for 10 d,however,their survival rate of transplanting had not significant difference.The number of stomate and stomatal density of transplanting seedlings had increased after transplanting 30 d,but the three indexes including leaf stomate number,stomatal density and stomatal opening rate had decreased and found the lots of stomata closure phenomenon in midday after 45 d.The results show that seedling in vitro of P.Maudiae can be transplanted in greenhouse and not need harden before transplantion,and seedlings in vitro transplanted for 45 d could adapt to the greenhouse environment.2.Effect of three ‘Peters professional’ fertilizer and concentration on growth of P.MaudiaeDuring the small seedling stage of P.Maudiae,spraying 0.33 to 2.00 g·l-1‘Peters professional No.1’fertilizer(N-P-K:20-20-20),‘Peters professional No.2’fertilizer(N-P-K:10-30-20)and‘Peters professional No.11’fertilizer(5-11-26)had little effact on leaf number and leaf width.Spraying 0.33 to 2.00 g·l-1 No.1 and No.2 fertilizers could increased leaf length and leaf amplitude,however,the difference was also not significant.Spraying0.33 to1.00 g·l-1No.1 fertilizer and No.2 fertilizers improved the dry weight,leaf dry weight and fresh weight.The results showed that 0.33 to1.00 g·l-1 No.1 fertilizer and No.2 fertilizers could improve the biomass accumulation and the vegetative growth of P.Maudiae.During the middle seedling stage of P.Maudiae,spraying No.1,No.2 and No.11 fertilizers had little effect on leaf number and leaf width.Spraying No.1 and No.2 fertilizers could increased leaf length and leaf amplitude,however,the difference was also not significant.Spraying 0.33 to 0.50 g·l-1 No.1 fertilizer and No.2fertilizers had improved the fresh weight,dry weight,leaf dry weight and fresh weight.The results showed that 0.33 to 0.50 g·l-1No.1 fertilizer and No.2 fertilizer could improve the biomass accumulation and the vegetative growth of P.Maudiae.During the large seedling stage of P.Maudiae,spraying No.1,No.2 and No.11 fertilizers had little effect on leaf number.Spraying 0.33 to 2.00 g·l-1No.1,No.2and No.11 fertilizers increased leaf length,leaf width and leaf amplitude,however,the difference was not significant.Spraying 0.33 to 0.50 g·l-1 No.2 fertilizer had improved fresh weight,dry weight,leaf dry weight and fresh weight.The results showed that0.33 to 0.50 g·l-1 No.2 fertilizer could improve the biomass accumulation and the vegetative growth of P.Maudiae.Spraying moderate and low concentration(0.33 to1.00 g·l-1)‘Peters professional No.1’fertilizer and Peters professional No.2’fertilizer could promote photosynthetic pigment content and soluble protein content accumulation and soluble protein content accumulation during the small seedlings stage,the medium seedlings stage and the large seedlings stage of P.Maudiae.3.Effect of ‘Peters professional’ and plant growth regulators on florescence regulation of P.MaudiaeThere were not significant effect of different kinds and concentration of fertilizers on flower morphology and flowering time,However,Peters professional No.2 fertilizer can increase the flower bud rate and flowering rate.Spraying 1-100mg·l-1 of GA3 promoted the extraction of flower peduncle,however,most of flowers were misshaped.BA treatments has little effect on of flower morphology and flowering rate of P.Maudiae,but could flower early and the flowers were normal.
