The application of remote sensing technology in the agriculture and forestry industry has been one of the most popular methods to ensure food security and promote agricultural development.Agricultural remote sensing monitoring system provides a reliable reference data for decision-making of government departments. With the development of society, more and more micro users, such as local authorities, enterprises and individual farmers, also have a huge demand for agricultural remote sensing monitoring service.but the technical development of Agricultural remote sensing monitoring system is slow for this change. The degree of computer automation is not high. The optimization of remote sensing data also need professional manual processing. And compare with the development of computer technology, the technology of implementing an agricultural remote sensing monitoring system is relatively old.Under the above background, this paper introduces some new technology to achieve the core function of this kind of system solutions by describing the implementation of a specific agricultural remote sensing monitoring system--an NDVI(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)visual monitoring system based on Modis satellite remote sensing data. The first is the storage, optimization and calculation of remote sensing data.In early agricultural remote sensing monitoring system,in order to remove clouds, mist and snow impact in remote sensing data,it should be professionals to process remote sensing data by using professional software tools manually. So it is not good for computer automation. And because of the big size of remote sensing data,it would take a lot of time to optimize data.So it can not meet a large number of micro users who need quick access of information. In this paper,it will show a method which can deal with big size NDVI remote sensing data's optimization by using Savitzky-Golay filtering algorithm. This paper will also show the use of the popular and powerful Post GIS database. It can make the method more convenient to achive and with high efficiency. The second thing is providing a simple and user-friendly monitoring process for micro users(non professional users). This system uses the B/S structure(browser and server structure)for non professional users to provide a convenient interactive experience.Recently, some new manufacturer of agricultural remote sensing monitoring system appears.Their products may be for non professional users in some respects, like system structure, monitoring data management, and so on.But when they make the monitoring results visual,it do not meet the user's browsing habits. For example, when using map images to present the results of the monitoring data, still in accordance with the old method, using a large and complete image. This will slow the web page load, damage the user experience, and also increase the workload of the server. For this problem, the solution proposed in this paper is using Mapnik(an open source technology)to present the the visual results of the monitoring system in the form of tile map.Because the system is B/S structure, and it has a large number of users, the server requirements are relatively high.If we build the server from the hardware to the software,it would be time-consuming and power. In order to facilitate the development,as well as cost control, the entire system is deployed on the popular third party cloud services platform. The purpose of this paper is to play a valuable role for similar agricultural remote sensing monitoring system developers by introducing these new technical solutions.
