Rana hanluica was distributed in Hunan province and the neighboring provinces,such as Jiangxi and Guizhou.The literature of domestic and abroad on Rana hanluica is so rarely.The author based on the breeding base of Chenzhou Zixing Bamian Mountain from March 2015 to November 2016.Through measuring the morphological traits analysis its reproductive biology date that including breeding season,morphological correlates of mate choice,sexual size dimorphism,reproductive output of female,age structure of population and regulation of growth and development of tadpoles.At the same time artificial breeding technology of this frog has been studied preliminarily.Main results are as follows:(1)Breeding season of the frogs occurred from Mid-september to late October,lasting over a month,which belongs to prolonged breeding.The spawning type belongs to spawn once a year and every year divided four batches which has four breeding peak.During the period which the end of the last batch and the start of the next batch,there is no frog spawning between.(2)The mating pattern of Rana hanluica is belonging large-male mating advantage pattern.The mating males average snout-vent length of successful spawning(50.01±0.56mm)is significantly greater than the failure spawning(47.98±0.71mm)(F(1,51)=1.760,P=0.028).In the process of mating choice form the benefit balance,which big female frog select mating with relatively larger male frog and small female frog select mating with relatively small size of male frog.(3)Rana hanluica exists partial sexual size dimorphism and and its sexual dimorphism pattern is female body being larger(U=203.500,Z=-2.115,P<0.05).The index of sexual dimorphism reach 0.065 and the ratio of average snout-vent length between female and males is 1.069.Besides,Through the linear regression analysis can know that both female and male body mass,head width,snout length,body width,lower arm and hand length,hind-limb length,tibia length and foot length of Rana hanluica had a distinctive linear relationship with its snout-vent length and changed with its snout-vent length synchronously.(4)The fecundity of female frog increases with the increase of its snout-vent length(r=0.853,P<0.001),body mass(r=0.949,P<0.001)and body width(r=0.797,P<0.001).Besides,when the snout-vent length is equivalence its fecundity increases with the increase of body mass and body width,when the body width is equivalence its fecundity increases with the increase of snout-vent length and body mass.But when the body massh is equivalence its snout-vent length and body width has no effect on fecundity.(5)The respective snout-vent length and body width of female and male Rana hanluica have significant relationship of power exponent.The curve equation of female snout-vent length and body width is y=4.579*10-5x3.127 and male is y=0.001x2 527.The populations age structure of female frog will be divided five age groups and each length range is as follows:C? group 40.40?48.40mm,C? group 48.40?50.40mm,C? group 50.40?58.40mm,C? group 58.40?60.40mm,CV group 60.40-64.40mm.Male also will be divided five age groups and each length range is as follows:? group 41.45?45.45mm,? group 45.45?49.45mm,?? group 49.45?51.45mm,?? group 51.45?55.45mm,XV group 55.45?61.45mm.(6)Through five morphological index of tadpole which included body mass,snout-vent length,tail length,body height,body width and three growth curve fitting of the model which included Logistic,Gompertz and Von Bertalanffy obtain that following results.The optimal model for the description of the body mass has two growth and they are Gompertz equation Y=0.857e-7.185exp(-0.025t)and Von Bertalanffy equation Y=0.896(1-0.609e-0.012t)3.The optimal model for the description of the snout-vent length is Von Bertalanffy equation Y=14.528(1-0.382e-0.041t)3.The optimal model for the description of the tail length is Von Bertalanffy equation Y=25.525(1-0.363e-0.025t)3.The optimal model for the description of the body height is Von Bertalanffy equation Y=8.146(1-0.355e-0.025t)3.The optimal model for the description of the body width has two growth and they are Gompertz equation Y=0.857e-7.185exp(-0.025t)and Von Bertalanffy equation Y=0.896(1-0.609e-0.012t)3.(7)Through the difference analysis of each group which feeding before tadpoles body mass,snout-vent length and body width and the difference analysis of each group which stage of metamorphosis complement young frog body mass,snout-vent length and body width obtain that following results.Tadpoles that hatch out the same period can improve its stage of metamorphosis complement young frog body mass,snout-vent length and body width by freezing food.However,when under the natural conditions,stage of metamorphosis complement young frog have different size.
