In this paper,we took Bromus inermis and Bromus stamineus as the research objects to measure their germination rate, germination potential, germination index, mean germination days and radicle length of brome seed under different temperatures by using the PEG to simulate drought stress. At the same time,we also measured the growth indexes, physiological and biochemical indexes of two kinds of Bromus seedlings under different drought stress treatment to test Bromus inermis.By using the drought resistance function,we evaluated the drought resistance of the two kinds of Bromus comprehensively. The results showed that under different PEG concentration and temperature gradient, the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and radicle length of two kinds of Bromus inermis seeds are lower than the control. When the temperature was constant, with the increase of PEG concentration the four indexes all decline. When the concentration of PEG was constant, the seed germination was inhibited under drought stress at the temperature from 25? to 30?.Two plant growth of both native and introduced Bromus species were inhibited under different stress level. The content of MDA in two species of bromegrass cells was obviously increased under drought stressand the maximum value appeared at the treatment that wsa suffered the drought stress most seriously, indicating that two species of Bromus inermis cells being damaged badly. After the damage of native and introduced Bromus inermis under drought stress,Pro content and the activity of POD and SOD increased.Bromus stamineus showed higher drought resistant ability than of Bromus inermis.
