Organic waste resources,if not handling or processing is not good,will be the source of pollution,aggravating environmental problems;If its application in the field of anaerobic digestion,will have to be the source of green energy materials,ease the problems of the world's energy increasingly prominent,the benefit of mankind.Organic waste resources,however,not all can be found in nature microorganism used for anaerobic digestion,part of this,such as lignin of lignocellulose resources,is difficult to be microbes by anaerobic digestion(or aerobic digestion)to degradation.And the emergence of biochar,in order to solve this part of the refractory organic waste has brought the dawn.Most of the organic waste resources,especially in the nature are difficult to be use that part of the organic waste resources,can be made by simple high temperature pyrolysis biochar,is applied to the environmental protection,energy and other fields.As precursor of activated carbon and biochar and activated carbon have much in common,and activated carbon in the field of environmental protection,energy,good performance,has been confirmed in the age-old research at home and abroad,and as is even more important than activated carbon in the process of making biochar of environmental protection and economy,studies its application in the field of energy,will be very meaningful.To solve above problems,this article innovative three-dimensional electrode technology and photocatalytic technology is introduced into the microbial fuel cell technology,of novel Photoelectric microbial fuel cells(Photoelectric microbial arg,cells,PE-MFC)technology,and the biological carbon particles as the three-dimensional electrode particles and biofilm carrier,research with biochar mediated Photoelectric microbial fuel cell and its mechanism,to realize synchronous microbial fuel cell to produce electricity and gas,and improving the traditional technique of methane gas from the production efficiency and quality,at the same time to make full use of the organic waste resources,especially the use of refractory organic waste resources to provide reference for production.Paper main research contents and results includ the following aspects:(1)Experiment and characterization of biochar modification.This topic is granular biochar(GBC),respectively,on the cationic and anionic surfactant modification and inhibiting methane modification,and USES the Fourier infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD),specific surface area(BET)and so on,were used such as the physical and chemical properties of the biochar before and after modification were characterized.Studies have shown that this topic selection of fruit tree biochar GBC,on the crystal structure is a disorder with disorderly layer structure of graphite micro crystal structure;The surface of the modified cationic surfactant modification and inhibiting methane GBC,crystallization effect is enhanced,grain size refinement,help to increase the active site;And by the anionic modified GBC,crystal structure order is abate,the lattice defects,has increased the active site.By Fourier infrared spectrum analysis,the GBC surface has a wealth of chemical functional groups,such as carboxyl,hydroxyl and methyl,methylene,amino and so on,make its have good biological affinity.Biochar specific surface area of 15.87 m2 before modification,and modification after the GBC specific surface area were reduced,in 2.34 ~ 4.09 m2.The DTA and TG analysis shows that the GBC hydrophobic after modified has been increased,more conducive to the adsorption of organic matter.Environment,and the GBC in sludge,with adsorption on sludge GBC adsorption performance for SBES size order : GBC>SBES-GBC>SDS-GBC>PEI-GBC;In the sludge concentration of 92 g.L-1(close to this follow-up study PE-MFC at the start of the sludge concentration),and modified the GBC are nearly saturated adsorption capacity of sludge.(2)Effects of biochar mediated on electrochemical properties of PE-MFC.With the cationic and anionic modified by biochar particles and without modification of the biological carbon particles into the design of PE-MFC reactor,in which to study biochar as three-dimensional electrode filling particles of the electrochemical mediated effect and its mechanism of PE-MFC.Studies suggest that biochar crystal structure increased its active site,and it has a chemical functional groups,hydrophobicity,large specific surface area and good electrical conductivity,making biochar in PE-MFC plays the mediating role of three dimensional electrode particles,increase the micro electric field,reduce the activation internal resistance and the ohmic resistance namely concentration resistance,improve the electricity production efficiency of PE-MFC.(3)Effects of biochar mediated on methane production by PE-MFC.By the inhibition of methane,modification,modification anionic and cationic modified without modification of the biological carbon particles into the design of PE-MFC reactor,in which to study biochar as biofilm carrier of the PE-microbial mediated effect and its mechanism of MFC.Studies have shown that biochar in PE-MFC have played an important role of biofilm carrier mediated,by immobilized microorganism,the adsorption of organic matter,regulate the concentration of CO2 and active hydrogen [H] ratio,make the PE-MFC nissan gas and methane content is significantly increased.
