Based on the research background of Chifeng area in Inner Mongolia,the author carried out a subsurface drip irrigation system experiment and an optimized experiment which is based on parameters such as drip irrigation interval,buried depth and drip flow.The research aims to study the changes of maize height,stem diameter and yield under different irrigation zone layout and irrigation volume to analyze the subsurface drip irrigation water consumption and its regular pattern which provides technical support to the subsurface drip irrigation of maize and irrigation management in Chifeng and west Liaohe area.Through the experiments and analysis,the following conclusions are made:1.The growth of maize can be divided into three phases: slow growth period,rapid growth period and slow growth period.The depth of water consumption soil layer differs in different growth phase.During pre-seedling stage to seedling stage,0~20cm soil layer is the main water consumption layer.During jointing stage,20~40cm is the main water consumption layer.20~60cm is the main water consumption layer for heading to maturity stage.The water consumption of subsurface drip irrigation maize shows a trend of "small-large-small",which is consistent with the dynamic curve of soil moisture.2.Drip irrigation interval,burial depth,drip flow rate and irrigation quota effect plant height,stem diameter and yield.Irrigation quota and drip irrigation depth have a larger influence than drip flow.3.The water consumption of subsurface drip irrigation maize is304.15-467.01 mm,the water consumption is 2.14-3.29 mm /d.The greater the irrigation quota,the larger is the water consumption.4.There is a positive correlation between yield and irrigation quota.However,the rate of growth gradually reduces.The effective rainfall of 2015 in the experimental area is 174.4mm,which is a drought year.Rainfall frequency is 85%.The suitable irrigation quota for subsurface drip irrigationis 262.5mm,the irrigation frequency is 5 times,the yield is 864.24 kg /mu,the water use efficiency is 2.12 kg /m~3.5.According to the comprehensive analysis of maize yield and water use efficiency,the optimal technical parameters of maize drip irrigation are as follows: drip flow 1.38L/h,drip irrigation interval 0.8m,drip irrigation buried depth 0.35 m.The current yield reaches 941kg/mu,water use efficiency2.65 kg /m~3.
