Comparative Study On The Agronomic And Economic Traits And Tobacco Leaf Quality In Different Flue-cured Tobacco Cultivars

In order to select flue-cured tobacco varieties which are suitable to plant and popularize under the ecological conditions in Zhijiang tobacco zone in Huaihua, through comparing and analyzing 7 different varieties of flue-cured tobacco:Bi’na No.1, Yunyan 87, NC71, NC297, Honghuadajinyuan, HN0508 and K326 in aspects of botanical characteristic, agricultural shape and property, economical property and tobacco leaf quality, the main research results are found as follows:1. Botanial characteristics and main agricultural properties of different flue-cured tobacco varieties differ. Under the ecological conditions in Zhijiang, Huaihua, Hunan, growing periods of all varieties taking part in the test in large fields are all within proper range; leaf color of NC297, Bi’na No.1 and K326 is deeper; major veins of Yunyan87, NC71, Honghuadajinyuan and K326 are wider; uniformity of Binal and K326 is better; NC71 and HN0508 mature and yellow fast; NC297 Honghuadajinyuan havedifficulties in maturing and yellowing; effective leaf numbers:K326>Yunyan87>NC297> NC71> Bi’na No.1>Honghuadajinyuan> HN0508; Honghuadajinyuan is the biggest in terms of lower part tobacco leaf area and middle part tobacco leaf area; HN0508 has the largest upper part leaf area. The comprehensive agricultural properties of K326 and Yunyan87 are better.2. The circumstances under which different tobacco variety diseases and pests in fields occur differ. The field red star disease, tobacco mosaic virus and whether fleck incidence of Bi’na No.1 is relatively low; The field whether fleck and tobacco mosaic virus incidence of Honghuadajinyuan is relatively low, the red star disease incidence of Honghuadajinyuan is relatively higher; the field red star disease and whether fleck incidence of K326 is relatively low.3. The economic properties of different flue-cured tobacco varieties leaves differ. Bi’na No.l is the highest in best-quality tobacco proportion;yield performance: Yunyan87>HN0508> K326>NC71> Bi’na No.1>NC297; production value performance: Yunyan87> Bi’na No.1>K326>HN0508>NC297> NC71.4. Tobacco leaf quality of different tobacco varieties differ. Bi’na No.1, NC71 and Yunyan87 is relatively better in tobacco leaf appearance quality; HN0508 and Yunyan87 is relatively harmonious as regards main chemical composition.5. K326,Yunyan87 and Bi’na No.1 are more suitable to be planted and popularized in Zhijiang tobacco zone.
