Evaluation On Distribution And Survival Of Ancient And Famous Trees In Tai'an City

Famous and ancient trees are the important national resources.As well as being the essence of forest resources,they form a crucialpart of historical and cultural heritage.Known as the 'living antique',these tress have extremely important values for the ecosystem,economics and society.Located at the foot of Maintain Tai,the city of Taian is a famous city in Chia with long history and rich culture The city has abundantforest resources with a variety of famous and ancient trees.Data revealed in the fourth census of the city'sfamous and ancient trees showsthat currentlyTai'anpreserves 19483 ancient treesthese trees are mainly located in 27 geographical areas and belong to 27 familiesand 45 species.The Mountain Tai solely has 18195 ancient trees plants with27 families and 45 species(Caoet al.,2005).However,with the rapid development of economics,society and urban construction,the growth of famous and ancient trees are to varying degreesincreasingly hampereddue to the changes in their living environment which makes the reinforcement of tree protection becoming urgent.The main topics of study in this paper is to understandthe existing famous and ancient trees resources in Tai'an City in terms of their distribution,quantity and conditions,analysethe causes of the lossof trees resources,based on which the protection and management of these tress resources can be conductedThis study takes the existing living conditions of the tress as the starting point,use logic of 'tree types distribution--growth conditions—ecosystem—protectionevaluation' as the structure of analysis,draws on previous literature and survey data to examined the current growth conditions and ecosystem and offers suggestions to the proctection of famous and ancient tress in the city of Tai'an.The result shows thatTai'an City's famous and ancient trees are centrally located in the scenic area of Mountain Tai.,Old trees are mainly biota orientalis,pinustabulaeformisThe data sampled reveals that more than 90%tress are national secondary ancient trees.Most tress are in the weak growth stage and vulnerable to diseases and insect pests.The analysis of the ecological environment shows thaturban famous and ancient trees are relatively well-grew,but they were exposed to loss due to construction and other reasons,Although the tress located in the scenic area are relatively close to the natural environment,they also suffered from environmental issues.From the perspective of protection evaluation,most famous and ancient trees need only basic protection,there are still a few thatneed to be given special care and repair,protection work should be carried out hierarchically.The data analysis and field survey showsthatthe most famous and ancient trees have different degrees of natural weakness conditions,the living environment is also under a variety of threats,in addition,the awareness of protecting famous and ancient trees is insufficient,which all lead to unnecessary losses of tree resources.Protecting famous and ancient trees thus requires to be done both theoretically and practically,toenhance citizens'awareness 5 at the same time,to coordinaterelevant departments in the process of ancient trees protection and ensure the work is conducted in comprehensive,detailed and hierarchical manner;work needs to be done not only in terms of basic protection but also in terms of later-stage mending,as well as in terms of urban planning and legislations and regulations,so as to promote the construction of an ecological and civilized city.To sum up,the quantity of the famous and ancient tress in Tai'an City is huge and their distribution area is wide.,what needs to be done is not only to improve their growth status and to slow down their aging speed by improve their living environment,but also to take suitable e measures to preserve.
