| Tartary Buckwheat is a rare kind of crops that can be used as medicine and food, with great nutrition, food and medicine value, and it is popular with more and more people. Recent studies have found that Tartary buckwheat also can serve as a kind of commendable forage crop. Its straw, bran case, grain and silage can be used for feeding livestock and poultry. Moreover, compared with other forage crops, Tartary buckwheat’s crop fertility cycle is shorter,so this is a great advantage. The major functional components of Tartary buckwheat is the abundant flavonoids content, it gives itself variety of physiological functions: antioxidation and free radicals-scavenging, resistance to disease of heart head blood-vessel, bacteriostasis and estrogen-like action, etc. At present, the application prospect of Tartary buckwheat in livestock production has been widely concerned. Therefore, this experiment mainly explores the effects of Tartary buckwheat extracts on organism antioxidation capacity and the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian gonadal axis in sheep, aims to provide reliable theoretical base for Tartary buckwheat’s application in mutton sheep production.24 Doper X small thin tailed crossed ewes (150 d,25±0.5kg of body weight) were randomly selected, and equally allocated into four groups in completed random design, and were offered with different diets. The Tartary buckwheat extract was added into meals to prepare the formulated diet:Og/kg (Control),1 g/kg (group Ⅰ),5 g/kg (group Ⅱ) and 20 g/kg (group Ⅲ). The ewes were fed with different diets for 80 d. Slaughtering animals and sampling after the feeding experiment, mainly we determinate the Longissimus Dorsi muscle’s antioxidation-related genes and proteins relative expression, and the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian gonadal axis-related genes relative expression. The main results as follows:(1) After adding Tartary buckwheat extracts, the final weight and average daily gain showed a rising trend, group Ⅱ is the highest. In addition, group Ⅲ’s net meat weight, body weight, slaughter rate are significantly increased compared with control group.(2) After adding Tartary buckwheat extracts, LD total antioxidant capacity T-AOC in group I was significantly increased, group III sheep’ LD glutathione peroxidase GSH-PX activity was significantly increased, lipid peroxide malondialdehyde MDA content in LD was decreased significantly. At the same time, CuZn-SOD mRNA relative expression in group Ⅱ showed a significant rise, CuZn-SOD protein relative expression was significantly increased. Sheep LD’s GPX-4 protein expression in group I was significantly increased.(3) After adding Tartary buckwheat extracts, in the test groups, both coefficient of the uterus, ovaries and serum estradiol levels had no significant difference, but the group I sheep’ GnRH mRNA relative expression in hypothalamus was significantly increased, LHR mRNA relative expression in ovarian in group II was significantly increased. In conclusion, within the scope of the content of this experiment, buckwheat extracts can be thought of as a kind of very good feed additive. |
