Rehmannia is one of the Chinese herbal medicines,it has special treatment towards disease like Sheng Jin Yin and so on.In our china,with the prices of rehmannia steadily rising,more and more rehmannia was planted.We usually select roots which well growed?have big size and have no pests and cut the root into 3?5cm to crop. The planting of rehmannia requires row spacing 20?30cm and line spacing 10? 15cm.But now,we have no seeding machinery suitting for rehmannia because of different individual have different size and shape.At present,the seeding of rehmannia mainly by manual work,and has a low efficiency.The Planting methods easily to delay the farming season,and limited development of the industry of rehmannia. In order to solve the difficulty of seeding rehmannia,the author of article carry out the design study of seed-metering device suitting for rehmannia.According to rehmannias with different size and shape, the author of article designed a seed-metering device suitting for rehmannia creatively and complete the preproduction model.The seeding tube of the machine can moves up and down drived by the seeding disc,so the roots in seed box won't be blocked.The groove of seeding disc was filled with flexible material,so the seeding disc can adapt rehmannia with different size and shape automatically. The main research contents completed by the auther of article are as follows:(1) Selected the structure type of the seed-metering device through compareing the advantages and disadvantages of existing different types of seeding apparatus and completed the overall structure and parts design by AutoCAD.(2) Completed the kinematics simulation analysis and kinetics simulation analysis of the seeding pipe by the software Simulink and got the speed and acceleration parameters of the seeding pipe in different locations.(3) Established the three-dimensional model of every parts and components by software Pro/E. Completed the virtual assembly of every parts and conducted the analysis of movement interference.(4) Completed the finite element analysis of the seeding shell in two different conditions by ANSYS software and got the stress and deformation. The results show that the structure design is reasonable.
