Rice is the most important crop. Its yield is closely related to people's ordinary lives. Rice growth is restricted by soil, water, temperature and other environmental factors. If the salt content in the soil is too much, it will harm to rice growth, cause seeding to death, even have no yield. In a certain saline range, it is the effective method to select some Salt-tolerant rice varieties within certain limits to guarantee of output, saving investment, reduce labor intensity.There is long coastline in Vietnam, and now it becomes increasingly serious that sanline instrusion soil salinization.saline soil annual average of 20 thousand hectares increase since 2005. The goverment has to face the overcome greater strenth, a wide area damage in constructing the new rural. And tere is large part of the river estuaries are lower-elevations, salt water intrusion affectedmore severely than other province. Breeding or select Salt-tolerant rice varieties is the goal of the scientific research institute.We have analysis somne physiological indicators by planting 10 rice varieties at Ngason county/Hauloc county in summer 2013 and spring 2014, and reached the following conclusions:1. The water salinity increased during transplanting to mature. Water salinity degree from 1.0‰ rise to 2.5‰ in Ngason country, from 1.0‰ to 2.7‰ in Hauloc country. And the salinity degree reached the highest relative in both place at the heading stage.2. Salt alkaloid affects rice growth mainly in tillering stage and filling stage. Soil salinization will seriously slow rice tillering speed,reduce the number of ears per hectare,at the same while, affects fertilization and seed setting,cause the rate of shell is very high.3. In this salt tolerant rice test, the growth period of the variety-DT68 &H2-DT is shorter, about 100-103days in the summer season,125-126days in the spring season. In general, the rice growth period in Hau Loc is shorter than in Nga son, so is the height, growth and tillering ability.4. The dry material accumulation of hybrid rice-Huong uu 98 and inbred rice-DT68&H2-DT is higher in this test. So is higher in Nga Son country than it in Hau Loc country.5. The yield of Huong uu 98 is highest, that is 7.07 tons per hectare in summer-2013,7.62 tons per hectare in spring-2014. It is 37.1%.39.6% higher than control variety BT7. The yield of inbred rice DT68&H2-DT is 1/3 higher than control variety. Both is obvious difference.6. The yield of inbred rice DT68 & H2-DT and the hybrid rice Huong uu 98 in the test is higher and more stable in the two seasons at the two countries. Through the exterior shape and size of the test rice, processing quality and taste evaluation, the varieties-DT68,H2-DT and Huong uu 98 are relatively more quality in the test.According to the test of summer-2013 and spring-2014, we get primary evaluation that the higher yield and yield potential varieties are DT68,H2-DT and Huong uu 98, suitable for the coastal saline cultivation in Thanh Hoa province. So, our suggestion is expanding the area of hybrid rice Huong uu 98 inbred rice DT68&H2-DT. So that the more overall assessment can be done by government functional departments before the extension list be worked out for the coastal saline cultivation in Thanh Hoa province.
