In this study, based on urban rivers in Jinan as the backdrop, during May, August, November 2014, and May, September, October 2015, according to the season, wecollected the fish assemblages from a total of 48 sites of urban rivers in Jinan as the study target, to examine species diversity of fish community structure and health of aquatic ecosystems. The main objectives were to: 1) understand the composition characteristics of fish species in Jinan City Rivers; 2) analyze the community structure of fishes in the rivers of Jinan city systems; 3) evaluate the ecosystem health of fish assemblages in Jinan basin. The main results of this survey were as follows:1.All specimens, amounting to 8,603 individuals, weighing 70258.55 g, represented 54 species, 45 genera, 16 families, and 6 orders. Among which, 36 species belonged to Cypriniformes, accounting for 67% of the total number of species; Followed by perciformes, 11 species, accounting for 20%. Fish density was in accord with the trend of species quantity, where Cypriniformes was in the majority, in total of 7105 individuals, accounting more than 80% of the total density for the identification of fish, whose dominant species were Carassius auratus, Hemiculter leucisculus, Pseudorasbora parva, Abbottina rivularis, Rhodeus lighti; Followed by Perciformes, in total of 1276 individuals, accounting for 14.8%, whose dominant specie was Ctenogobius brunneus. From the point of biomass composition condition, Cypriniformes still made a great percentage, amounting to 56185.4 g, taking up 80% for the identification of fish biomass; Followed by Perciformes, amounting to 11452.05 g, taking up 16.3% of the identification of fish biomass; Siluriformes 1418.1 g(2.02%); Synbgranchiformes 1161.9 g(1.65%); Cyprinodontiformes 37.1 g( 0.05%); Salmoniformes 4 g, only accounting for 0.01%.2. From the spatial distribution of fish communities in the Jinan Basin, the fish catch and diversity at the edge of the city were much higher than the city center, and the trunk stream was slightly higher than the tributary. Box plots of fish community in the Jinan Basin showed that the second-level ecoregion delineation results were more reasonable. Thus, the spatial structure of fish communities in Jinan Basin, not only related to the distribution of the three major river systems in Jinan City, but concerned population density, land use pattern, the water quality and so on.3. From the whole view of the alternation of fish community structure in Jinan basin, Jinan City river community structure appeared a clear seasonal distribution pattern: the number of fish species showed highest diversity in summer, and then the autumn, the winter was the lowest. This variance is related to the seasonal trait: spring has a limited raindrop, summer is rainy with a high temperature, autumn is cool with low moisture, winter is cold with little snow. However, we were unable to collect the specimens due to the drying up in the river in kezhai, mulizhuang, hushanzha in December, 2014.4. CCA results showed turbidity, transparency and nitrates were the main environmental driving factors in Jinan entire basin. The ecosystem health assessment results of fish assemblages were consistent in the spatial and temporal patterns of fish community structure in the Jinan Basin: the best was in summer, the second in autumn, the worst in winter; the edge of the city was much higher than the city center.
