Since the reform and opening up, aquaculture industry has achieved fast development in China. However, bacterial disease has been restricting the development of aquaculture industry. The present method to prevent and treat bacterial disease is useing antibiotic drugs. Abuse of antibiotics drug didn't only increase the breeding cost, but also made the fish have the drug resistance. It would threatening human health if they eat those fish with drug-resistant. So it is necessary to research the pathogenic bacteria infection model for proper using of antibiotics. A new experimental device is presented as technical support for the study of the pathogenic bacteria infection model.Based on the research actuality of the aquatic pathogenic bacteria and pathogenic bacteria infection model, a new experimental facility with concentration control function is developed. The main contributions of this paper are as follows:(1) Bacteria concentration control device is designed to solve problem of the concentration instability existing during the experimental process. The concentration control device can dilute and add bacteria precisely to maintain concentration constant.(2) Bacterial concentration detection method based on EIS is proposed in this paper. This method overcomes the problem that testing time is too long in common way of detecting bacteria concentration. First, the solution of lower concentration is condensed through the bacteria collecting device. Secondly the bacterial concentration is converted into the impedance values by electrochemical analyzer CHI600 D. Lastly bacteria concentration can be get from the cure of concentration and impedance.(3) The experimental platform is established, including water quality monitoring module, pump drive module, bacteria concentration control module, ammonia detection module and bacteria collection module.(4) Several experiments have been done with the established experimental platform. The experiments include determination of bacterial growth, using electrochemical analyzer to detect bacteria concentration and concentration constant experiment. The results show that, the accuracy of electrochemical detection meets the requirement of experiment compared with the plate count method. With the designed bacteria concentration control device, the bacteria concentration in the solution can be effictively held constantly and realizes the expected effect of bacterial concentration control.
