It is only 20%~35% water can be utilized using the traditional irrigation methods because the flood irrigation method is always be adopted for the land irrigation.With the development of science,especially in the aspects of sensor technology,wireless communication technology and computer control technology,combining these advanced technologies and equipments so as to improve the efficiency of water utilization in agricultural irrigation has become a fundamental requirement and an inevitable trend in the development of precision agriculture or facility agriculture.Based on wireless sensor networks technology,the design and implementation of an intelligent control system of agricultural irrigation are introduced in this thesis.The system mainly consists of some modules such as central control module,data acquisition module,data processing module,data displaying module,mechanical controlling module,remote monitoring module,and solar energy power supply module.The system can accurately measure the soil temperature and humidity,air temperature and humidity,the concentration of carbon dioxide and other environmental parameters,and transmit these data to remote server through wireless communication after these data are transformed to signals.The amount of water needed is decided according to the preset crop growth models and current status,and then carry out precision irrigation.Using this way,the target of efficient utilization of water resource is reached in the premise the effect of irrigation.From the perspective of practical application,this thesis introduces the engineering design,equipment debugging and maintenance of an irrigation system.The practical implementation of this system provides a demonstration for precision agriculture in some aspects such as the energy saving,water saving,intelligent control and so on.
