Pinus massoniana Lamb, as one of the most important forest resources in our country has high ecological and economic benefits. Hemiberlesia pitysophila Takagi which damages pines is dangerous to Pinus massoniana. Chilocorus kuwanae Silvestri is the important indigenous enemy of H. pitysophila and has stronger predatory instincts to H. pitysophila. This paper is focused on the role of the volatiles of plants to habitat location of C. kuwanae including the olfactory response of C. kuwanae to the volatiles plants, the determination of the revulsive volatiles of plants of the resistance of different families of Masson Pine damaged and no damaged by H. pitysophila. The research results underlie theoretical basis to prevention and control of H. pitysophila better with C. kuwanae.1 Using Y-tube olfactometer method determine the selective of C. kuwanae to different Masson Pine families. Results showed that C. kuwanae is not sensitive to the volatiles of different Masson Pine families with no danage of H, pitysophila. The differences between individuals or families of Masson Pine will cause C. kuwanae's trends or repellency response to the volatiles of families of Masson Pine. But the reaction is no relation with the resistance of families of Masson Pine to H. pitysophila. The difference of olfactory reaction of C. kuwanae to the volatiles of Masson Pine caused by the difference between individuals and families of Masson Pine or not needs further research.2 Collecting the revulsive volatiles of the resistance of different families of Masson Pine damaged or no damaged by H. pitysophila with headspace dynamic acquisition method to GC-MS appraisal. The results show that hexyl octyl ether may be the reason that why C. kuwanae choices the volatiles of Masson Pine families 1 Significantly greater than the volatiles of Masson Pine families 391 and 402. Higher alcohols content may cause one of the reasons that the volatiles of Masson Pine families 1 have stronger affect of attraction to C. kuwanae.3 Masson Pine damaged by H. pitysophila releases more volatiles, the relative content of the kind of alkanes and phenol decreases and terpenes material increases.4 Terpenes materials of the revulsive volatiles of Masson Pine include alpha.-Pinene,beta.-Pinene,?-myrcene,beta.-phellandrene,Limonene,tricyclene,terpin ene and so on. Screening one or more from the Terpenes materials or the composition of this materials which is Sensitive material to C. kuwanae to seduce C. kuwanae to choice pine forest as habitat in order to improve the Prevention and control action of C. kuwanae to H. pitysophil.
