| In this experiment, the cool season perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and warm season grass Manila (Zoysia matrella) as experimental materials, different concentration of paclobutrazol (PP333) effects on morphology and physiology and anatomical structure of two turfgrass were studied by foliage spraying. The results showed that, concentrations of paclobutrazol on two turfgrass plant height increment had certain inhibitory effect, the plant height increment decreased with increasing concentration of paclobutrazol, the higher the concentration, the more obvious the inhibition effect. The treatments of 200 mg/L,600 mg/L, 1000 mg/L and CK were significantly different; the total plant height increment by the amount of 1000 mg/L treatment was the lowest. Under the treatment of CK, the height net increment of two turfgrass changed greatly, the paclobutrazol treatments of 200 mg/L and 600 mg/L plant height changed little compared with the treatment of CK, the total plant height increment of 600 mg/L paclobutrazol treatment was lower than that of 200 mg/L paclobutrazol treatment. The tillers of two turfgrass were changed, in a certain range, increased with increasing concentrations of paclobutrazol application, the best treatment effect was 600 mg/L.22 days after treatment, the tillers of two turfgrass reached the maximum, then decreased. Treatment of the paclobutrazol azoles concentration was too high, the inhibitory effect of turf grass was too strong, would lead to a decline in the ability of turf grass tillers.44 days after treatment, the changes of tillers in the treatment of Manila grass were decreased.In the effect of chlorophyll content, the content of chlorophyll in the treatment of 600 mg/L was the highest. When the concentration of paclobutrazol was 200 mg/L,600 mg/L and 1000 mg/L, the chlorophyll content and CK of two turfgrass had significant difference, and the differences between treatments were significant. When the concentration rose to 1000 mg/L, the chlorophyll content decreased significantly. In the effect of soluble sugar content, after application of different concentration of paclobutrazol, the soluble sugar content of two turfgrass were significantly improved, the differences were significant among the treatments. In the treatment of perennial ryegrass, the best treatment effect was 1000 mg/L. But in the treatment of Manila grass, the best treatment effect was 600 mg/L. In the impact of relative water content, the best treatment effect was 600 mg/L. The differences between CK and 200 mg/L,600 mg/L,1000 mg/L were significantly different. The treatments of 1000 mg/L and 200 mg/L,600 mg/L were not significantly different. In the effect of MDA content, after application of different concentration of paclobutrazol, the contents of MDA in two turfgrass were decreased in different degree, after the treatment of 600 mg/L, the MDA content was the lowest; the differences were significant among the treatments. And with the increasing of the concentration of paclobutrazol, the MDA content decreased gradually.In the aspect of the influence of the anatomical structure, under the treatment of 600 mg/L paclobutrazol, the thickness of the cuticle of leaf and stem of two turfgrass increased most, and the blister cell of two turfgrass in leaf reached maximum. Comprehensive the morphology, physiological characteristics and anatomical structure of two turfgrass, in this experiment, the paclobutrazol concentration of 600 mg/L was the more adequate concentration for spraying, which can be used as a reference dosage in the management of two turfgrass production and maintenance. |
