The Development And Elementary Application Of Hyperimmunized Yolk Antibodies Against PEDV

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)belongs to Coronavirus,is the etiology of Porcine epidemic diarrhea(PED),which is a acute and highly epidemic disease in pigs intestines.This disease has become one of the most important contagions to harm the development of pig industry in China.Now the main method to prevent and treat pigs is the vaccine injection,which has weak curative effect.For treatment,there is no effective medicine.During January to December in 2015,all kinds of pig farms frequent got PED.The characteristic of this epidemic include quickly attack、quickly spread、large range、highly morbidity、highly death rate and caused serious damage.PED attacks about 7-day-old piglets in delivery room and results in 100% morbidity and 90% death rate.there are some same features in those pigs like depressed of spirit,drowsiness,appetite decreases,lack of water,peaked somatotype,confused fur.The faeces of those piglets are always yellow、white and brown water flow.The vomitus are always include chyle fat.After animal autopsy,we found mesentery、mesoclic lymph nodes and inguinal lymph nodes were hemorrhagic.abundant of fishy and yellow liquid were in the enteric.This disease is harmful to piglets and causes of financial loss in pig industry.In order to prepare IgY for resisting PEDV and research the effection in preventing and curing PED,we carry out three studies:1.The study on how to prepare IgY for resisting PEDV.Firstly,we use intestine,get from piglets who get PED to make PEDV W/O vaccine to immune chicken in this experiment.Then we use the building method of ELISA to test the level of IgY,and gather the eggs which have the highlist level of IgY.Secondly,we use the method of disc agar diffusion to gather the eggs which level above 26 in IgY.Thirdly,we use the acidity water to got IgY.The last,through safe and sterile test,we use IgY to prevent PED and cure pigs.2.The study on using IgY for resisting PEDV to treat PED in piglets.For this study,we discretely make 70、139、160 piglets,within thirty-year-old,who get PED to become the experimental subjects in JiangsuYancheng,AnhuiChangfeng,AnhuiFunan.We divide these subjects into three groups.116 subjects belong to the group without IgY,94 subjects belong to antibiotic and ORS treatment,159 subjects belong to IgY treatment.The result shows: without IgY,the piglets survival rate is just 9.4%,with ORS and antibiotic treatment,the piglets survival rate is 17%,with IgY treatment,the piglets survival rate is 79.9% in different pig farms,which belongs to JiangSu Yancheng、AnHui Changfeng、AnHui Funan.It shows that IgY has the better effection in curing piglets.In this experiment,we find that the earlier we cure,the better result we get;the older piglet we cure,the better result we get.After IgY treatment,PEDV which in intestinal has been reduced.The excrement of piglets is stench water then become paste and solid particle.The piglets get better spirit、appetite and never diarrhea and emesis.3.The study on using IgY for resisting PEDV to prevent PED in piglets.For this study,we make 85 piglets without PEDV,within twelve-hour-old to become the subjects in Anhui Changfeng;29 piglets without PEDV,within twelve-hour-old to become the subjects in Anhui Funan.Among these subjects,we divide 62 piglets into the group with Ig Y treatment,52 piglets into the group without IgY treatment.The result shows: Without IgY treatment,the morbidity is 59.6% and the survival rate is 46.2%;with IgY treatment,the morbidity is 9.8% and the survival rate is 96.8%.The experiment leads to the result that IgY treatment is effective in preventing PEDV of piglets.IgY can reduce the probability for falling PEDV and assure the survival rate of newborn piglets.The process of cruing piglets can be influenced by the piglets disease、condition、manage of feeding and anti-epidemic measures.So before IgY treatment,we will have an accurate diagnose,then can we get better method in preventing PED and curing ill piglets.
