Non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform is a large-scale farming system reform in agricultural sector after the founding of new China with the conception of increasing food production and developing agriculture, in order to ensure industrial construction the conception is to increase food production. The establishment of the people's commune system provides the system safeguard for non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform.The non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform of Wangjiazhuangzi began in 1964, the year of great tide. Unprecedented natural disaster hit on village, and under the government guidance, non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform began. Under the help of the country and the village's own attempt and effort, non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform achieved success. It is largely attribute to the effective organization of the labor in the time of collectivization, necessary farmland waters conservancy in non-irrigated farmland into paddy fields reform by overload labor and the essential labor input in rice planting. But in the process of rice reform movement, the local ecology has been greatly changed. Although rice planting ended, the villagers' living standards have not fallen on the basis of the villagers continue to make this advantage and tradition, and they increased the planting of cash crops.
