With the development of the modern agricultural mechanization and the demand for precision agriculture, the requirement of plant protection application technology is also increasing; however, there is a considerable disadvantage in the traditional way of plant protection. So there is a tendency for plant protection application technology to develop a new way of plant protection which could meet the requirement of modern agriculture.Aiming at the demanding for the precision plant, it designs a Plant-protection UAV is designed based the STM32F427 by using the embedded design technology and agricultural machinery. It can stable operate with simple operating, precisely working, and none directly contact with the UAV, which meet the demand of the small area of precision agriculture.Firstly, analyzing the basic principle of flight,it designed the overall structure of plant protection system. And according to the characteristics of the system structure, the hardware of the quad rotor Plant-protection UAV are designed and implemented based on the STM32F427. It consists of the units of flight control and spraying management, and the controller in handle. Then, it uses the quaternion method to calculate the attitude based the results of the data from different sensors by complementary filter algorithm. Using cascade PID to control the attitude and position; choosing ?C/OS-III as the kernel of the software system; The MDK5.0 is adapted for the software modularity. Finally, by testing and analyzing the results of the Plant-protection UAV experimental, the quad rotor Plant-protection is stable and reliable. It can achieve the requirement of the small area of precision operations. At the same time, this paper summarizes studies which need be improved, and look forwards the further research.
