This study which were carried out by 311-A regression design, was to examine the effect of the seedling growth of Paramichelia baillonii under different application of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), selected half a year similarly growing porting seedlings. Then the indexes, containing the increment of ground diameter and seedling height, the biomass, the moisture content, the nutrient content andchlorophyll content, were examined to study the effect of the growth condition of these seedlings under 11 fertilizer treatments (Tl to T11) and the non-fertilizer treatment (the Control). Also, the regression models were established to obtain the optimum application of the N, P, K fertilizer based on the increment of ground diameter and seedling height. The precept ofseedling fertilization on Paramichelia baillonii would be provided. The results show that:(1) after fertilization, the increment of ground diameter and seedling height of Paramichelia baillonii were significantly better than the Control. The maximum increment of ground diameter and seedling height was T1 and T7, reached 10.43mm and 63.63, separatelyincreased by 115.9% and 123% than the Control, indicating that it could significantly promote the growth condition of the Paramichelia baillonii seedling under the fertilization during the seedling stage, but the dosage and the proportion of N, P, K were different to promote the increment of the diameter and height.(2)The biomass of seedlings could significantly increase by reasonable fertilization, and it mainly accumulated in the root and leaf. Meanwhile, there was a large decline in the moisture content of the seedlings under fertilizer treatments than the Control; it could be the seedlings' fast growing, which need more water to participate in the strong Photosynthesis, reduced the moisture content.(3) Compared to the Control, there was a larger increment in the total potassium storage in the seedlings under fertilizer treatments, especially in the root and leaf, which were 3.07- 5.37 times and 3.07?6.29 times of that in the Control. Additionally, the chlorophyll content could be significantly improved by some fertilizer treatments.(4) Two regression equations were established which expressed the increment of ground diameter and seedling height as functions, the dosage of N. P and K as variable respectively. Using the regression equations, the optimum concentration recipes can be obtained by computer processing, that are Urea:0.82g. calcium superphosphate:3.75g, potassium sulfate: 3.75, the target increment of ground diameter can reach 11mm; when Urea is 0.82g, calcium superphosphate is 3.75g, potassium sulfate is 3.75, the target increment of seedling height is up to 67.2cm. the optimum concentration recipes are different between promoting the increment of the ground diameter and seedling height, therefore, it is necessary to aim the production needs to choose the recipes of fertilization on seedling stage of Paramichelia bailloniis.
