Rearing silkworm with artificial diet has many advantages over mulberry leaf rearing. It is the direction in the future of technique of silkworm rearing in China.The technique of silkworm rearing with pellet artificial diet on 1st~2nd instars have done the research and demonstration. But no systematic study for rearing technique of 1st~3rd instars.This paper studied rearing technique of 1st~3rd instars with pellet artificial deit, effects of all instars silkworm reared by pellet artificial diet on laying performance, effect of mulberry leaf powder and soybean powder content on the growth and development of 3rd instar silkworm,effects ofseveral feeding promoting substances in cooking diet etc. The main results are as follows.1 Mulberry leaf powder suitable content is 35% of pellet artificial diet of 3rd instar. Suitable content of soybean meal 30%.Mulberry leaf powder and soybean powder content too high or too low is not conducive to the growth and development of silkworm.2 The gallic acid, mixtures of inorganic salts and cacium carbonate additive in pellet artificial diet had promoted the feeding habit and growth and development of silkworm, and they have a role in promoting additive effect. There was no stimulative effect of sucrose additive on feeding habit and growth and development. On the contrary, sucrose additive can inhibit the normal growth and development of silkworm.3 Suitable feeding artificial feed temperature of 3rd instar is 29℃. The suitable rearing density is 1.70 cm2 / head. The suitable rearing density is about 4.25 m2 of per case of eggs.Density greater than this, the growth and development of silkworm will be significantly worse. Under appropriate conditions of temperature and density rearing, the total amount of particles silkworm eat artificial feed is about 2300 g of per case of eggs. The suitable feeding amount was about 2760 g of per case of eggs. The suitable rearing times was 2 times. The feeding amount of first feed time of 3rd instar was about 1840 g. The feeding amount of 48 h of 3rd instar was about 920 g.4 The practical experiment demonstrate that growth indexes of 1st~3rd instars rearing with pellet artificial diet was lower than of rearing with mulberry and 1st~2nd instars rearing with pellet artificial diet, the duration of all instars was longer than that of mulberry rearing and 1st~2nd instars rearing with pellet artificial diet, silkworm body weight is the same as the duration of all instars. the cocoon quality indicators due to different varieties and instar. Under appropriate rearing conditions most indicators can reach the level of mulberry leaf rearing and 1st~2nd instars rearing with pellet artificial diet.5 Number of egg of single moth, number of laid eggs of single moth of all instars rearing with pellet artificial diet was slightly less than of rearing with mulberry.But remained eggs rate was decreased. Weight of 100-egg,unfertilized egg rate, percentage of good eggs, unterminating egg rate there was no significant difference between pellet artificial diet raising for all instars and mulberry raising. |
