| High-quality hybrid rice AiLiangYou NO.6 is a combination of Ai Zhan 43S as male sterile line and JinXiang NO.6 as excellent recovery line, it has the advantages of high yield, high quality, lodging-resistance, disease-resistance and wide adaptability. This paper provides theoretical reference and experimental guidance for seed production & extension of AiLiangYou NO.6 through systematic research and technological integration by studying from breeding process, variety characteristics, fertility transformation characteristics, outcrossing habits, breeding characteristics and combining ability of Ai Zhan 43s as female parent, and breeding process, variety characteristics, combining ability, characteristics of hybrid combination, key technical point of seed breeding and production of male parent. The results are as follow:1. Characteristics of parent line:photo-thermo sensitive genic sterile line Ai Zhan 43s has the characteristics of compact plant and straight leaf, in Hefei area, sowing time is in May-June, time between sowing and heading is 81-68 days, total duration is about 120 days. Purple apiculus and stigma. Each plant can form 10-11 spikes, about 165-185 spikelets in each spike, percentage of stigma exposure is 79.5%, thousand grain weight is about 26g.Recovery line JinXiang NO.6 is 105cm in plant height, time between sowing and heading is 105-95 days, total duration is about 135-125 days, compact plant, colorless apiculus and stigma. Each plant can form 13-14 spikes, about 187-210 spikelets in each spike, thousand grain weight is about 28g, good smell.2. Seedling conversion characteristics and blossom habit of Ai Zhan 43s:Low fertility starting temperature,?23.5?; 100% sterile plant; 99.99% pollen abortion rate through pollen microscopic examination; bagging self rate is 0. Stable sterility, experiment result shows that percentage of pollen abortion is 99.57±0.25% under the condition that sunshine duration is 14.5h and temperature is 23.5?.Early flowering, duration time of spikelet is 30-420min, ripening rate of outcrossing is more than 50%, wide affinity.3. Combining ability of parent line:Ai Zhan 43s is hybridized with self-selected recovery line, average ripening rate of hybrid Fl is more than 78.1%, wide affinity. Recovery line JinXiang NO.6 is hybridized with self-selected recovery line, average ripening rate of hybrid Fl is more than 84.0%, wide affinity.4. Key points for parent line breeding and hybrid seed production:Sowing time is 20-30 Nov., fertility sensitive period is in Feb., for breeding, natural and temperate sunlight is the best. Male parent of Seed production for AiLiangYou NO.6 is divided into 2 phases, sowing time for phase 1 is on 1st May, and 9th May for phase 2, sowing time for female parent line is on 5th June, time difference 35 days and 7.2 in leaf difference. At the time of 5% heading, spray GA3 with 25-30g/667m2 3 times in row.5.
