In this paper, the materials was the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. The superiorprovenances of the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. was filtrated from its resourcesinvestigation, collection, preservation, biological character and medicinal constituents. It provided a basis for resource protection, variety breeding, exploiting and utilizingof the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook.BiodiversityIt appeared diversity not only on climatic factors but also on ecological factors.the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook.,s living micro-environment had a lot of differenceon community,s factors. Such as gradient and slope aspect, associated plant, canopydensity and bareness degree of rock.IntroductionThere were3ways to cultivate the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. includingdivision propagation, high bud seedling and tissue culture. Their surviving rates were97%,95%and70%.ProvenanceStudy on the Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. from different sources, comparingthe biological and medicinal indicators including the stem,s length and diameter, theleaf, quantity, the Dendrobium polysaccharides and the Dendrobine. The Guizhouprovince,s Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. contained much polysaccharide. TheYunnan province,s Dendrobium fimbriatum Hook. contained much alkaloid content.Breeding of seedling The study of seed storage found that by4?cryopreservation didn,t impact thevarious indicators after half a year. But its growth was affected by4?cryopreservation after a year. One preliminary study on Ca2+affecting growth of the Dendrobium fimbriatumHook. At seed germination stage, it had a highest germination rate adding double Ca2+.At subculture stage, it grew well adding a half Ca2+, because high concentrations ofcalcium restricted the growth.Planting imitates wild was adopted, there were two ways, cultivation on thestone and cultivation on the tree, their rate of survival was around75%. Afterlong-term measure for its amount of growth, the seedling cultivation on the tree hadbetter growth.
