Since the reform and opening up,people’s living standards has been improved greatly in rural areas with the economic development. The country is warmly concerned about the rural heating problems in winter.Coal,as a traditional heating energy, produces a large number of sulfur and nitrogen compounds and causes serious harm to the environment due to its uneven quality and insufficient combustion. But China is rich in coal resources,in rural areas of northern China, coal is often used for heating, and the exhaust gas from combustion is discharged directly into the atmosphere, which makes the amount of dust and particulate matter in the air increase sharply, which has become one of the main reasons for the frequent occurrence of haze pollution in recent years. In order to change this situation, the national policy of renewable energy utilization puts forward new requirements for rural heating in the north, among which biomass energy,as a green renewable energy, has the characteristics ofrich amount, wide distribution, sustainable and low pollution, etc. It is more suitable for collecting and using in rural areas. At the same time, because of the abundance of solar energy resources in northern China, the use of biomass energy as an auxiliary heat source for combined solar energy heating not only meets the heating needs, but also makes positive contribution to the national cause of energy conservation and emission reduction.Based on the division of building climate area and the distribution of solar energy resources, this paper refers to the building structure of the new rural areas in the norther part of China, and the main ways and characteristics of rural heating at present, and it includes the technological process of biomass solid briquetting fuel.Besides, the application of solar-biomass heating system in rural areas has also been researched.Classification of solar collector, solar heating system, load calculation, solar energy collection efficiency, connection mode, placement position, collector area, type selection of circulating water pump, volume and installation of water tank, classification of auxiliary heat source and design, pipeline selection and insulation, automatic control system design all provide a theoretical basis for the design of the experimental system.According to the theoretical basis of the system design, the experimental platform was set up in the pilot rurals of Luliang City,Shanxi Province. The system was installed in the field and the experimental data were recorded, which lasted for five months. The system used electric heating device and biomass boiler to do comparative experiments, which recorded the whole heating periodtemperature indoor and outdoor, situations of the monitoring points, and made data recording and analysis of local solar radiation intensity. At the same time, the working situation of solar energy and the operation of auxiliary heat source at night are recorded and analyzed, and the actual effects of electric heating and biomass boiler heating are compared. In addition to the experimental analysis, this paper also provides the systematic benefit analysis, the economic benefit and the environmental benefit of the system, and provides the reference basis for the application of the solar energy and biomass energy combined heating system in the rural areas of the north. And it also have some guidance in promoting the use of biomass energy in rural areas. This paper is supported by Shanxi Science and Technology Department of Science and Technology Project "Research on Rural heating system based on Renewable Energy in Shanxi Province(20140313007-3)" fund, using the combination technology of solar energy and biomass energy in renewable energy to conduct heating research in rural areas of northern China.
