Calibration is the guarantee for the normal operation of the instrument,especially for electronic measurement instruments which are the technical support for the development,testing,and verification of various electronic systems.In order to ensure the accuracy,safety and reliability of the instrument,the calibration and detection technology of the instrument has gradually become the key research direction of the instrument manufacturer.China’s instrument calibration technology is still at an exploratory stage.This paper aims at the needs of the laboratory project,researching on the automatic calibration algorithm and completing the design and implementation of the automatic calibration software.Regarding that it is difficult to calibrate under various parameters,strong correlation and high precision environment,this paper proposes a novel intelligent fitting automatic calibration method to design a calibration software which integrated instrument control,data processing and calibration file generation.The main work of this paper focuses on two parts: one is the research of the intelligent fitting algorithm,the other is the design and implementation of the automatic calibration system.Calibration is mainly divided into two processes: obtaining measured values and determining the relationship between parameters.In this paper,calibration is achieved by deriving the full-scale calibration formula based on the measured values of the instruments.Due to the large number of associated parameters,the number of test points increasing exponentially,the calibration process very complicated.This paper aims at the needs of complex systems and studies on statistics and data mining.It first applies stepwise regression and M5 model tree algorithm to the field of instrument calibration,analyzes the correlation of calibration parameters,then establishes the piecewise linearity between the parameters and their influence factors,and calculates the associated parameter fitting coefficients.Software design and implementation mainly include instrument control,automatic testing,data management,calibration method implementation,and human-machine interface.The automatic calibration software controls the calibrated instruments and standard instruments,parses the SCPI commands to measure the instrument parameters automatically,and uses the database to realize real-time storage and management of test data.The calibration module performs modeling processing of the test data,automatically completes the data fitting,obtains the calibration coefficients of parameters,generates a calibration file,and sends it to the calibrated instrument.Additionally,the method makes the software independent of the instrument resource by separating the calibration process and software.This paper proposed an automatic calibration method based on intelligent fitting and the automatic calibration software design was completed based on the pulse generator.The functions of the automatic calibration software are tested and the calibration method is verified.
