Due to the special geographical climate environment such as strong ultraviolet radiation and big difference in temperature,the damage mechanism and disease of the pavement are also different with the inland,which requires strictly screening for the building materials in design stage.As the improvement of desulphurization technology in industrial production,the large-scale application of rubber asphalt in pavement construction in plateau area is becoming more and more possible.Based on the typical disease of pavement in plateau area,this paper analyzed the pavement performance of the rubber asphalt concrete.Firstly,the paper analyzed the typical diseases in the plateau area and established the road performance evaluation index of rubber asphalt and rubber asphalt concrete.Combined with the solar radiation environment in the plateau,UV aging test of rubber asphalt was carried out,the relationship between three indexes of asphalt and ultraviolet irradiation time was studied,which showed that rubber asphalt has better UV resistance than ordinary asphalt aging ability.Secondly,the strain-controlled fatigue test of trabecular was carried out.It showed that under the same experimental conditions,the fatigue performance of SMA13 is better than AC.Finally,by the freeze –thaw splitting test,rutting test,low temperature bending test and TSRST test,the pavement performance of different gradation were studied.The results showed that for the TSR,dynamic stability and flexural strain at low temperature,the order from big to small of three gradations: SMA13> AC13> AC16;for the temperature stress,the order is AC13 > SMA13> AC16.Through the trabecular breakage test,the relationship between the fracture energy and the temperature was analyzed.The results showed that the fracture energy of the asphalt mixture was exponentially increased with the increase of the temperature.Under low temperature,the fracture energy of all the gradation is nearly.With the temperature rise,the difference gradually becomes big,the order from big to small: SMA13> AC13> AC16.
