With the rapid booming of economy and highway construction,the proportion of freight vehicles in road traffic at all levels has increased greatly,and the problem of over-limit transportation has become more and more serious,which turns up a giant problem annoying the development of highway transportation in our country.As an important law enforcement place to control the over-limit transport vehicles,the Weigh Station is becoming more and more important to prevent and eliminate the illegal and over-limit transport behaviors,reduce the traffic accidents,ensure road network efficiency and smooth the traffic.Based on the Guang-Fo-Zhao highway project,this paper proposes a novel design and implementation method of electromechanical engineering for the mainline Weigh Station at provincial border,aiming at providing a practical solution to the electromechanical engineering construction of the mainline Weigh Station.First of all,based on systematically reviewing the contents of law,management,technology and other aspects involved in the design work,this paper summarizes the experience of building the existing Weigh Stations in China.The paper follows the construction principles of "scientific and standardized,safe and convenient,universal functionalized,economical and applicable".It compares and discusses two general plans of "high-speed pre-inspection and separation at main lines plus low speed re-inspection at the Weigh Station" and "passenger and cargo separation at main lines plus low speed pre-inspection and separation at the Weigh Station",and determines the overall construction scale.Then based on the second of the above plans,it describes in details the structural design and function requirements of each modules of the electromechanical system of the Weigh Station.By comparing both of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing weighing methods,it is also formulated by combining both of the quartzed weighing and whole vehicle weighing methods.Finally,it discusses the designing and realization of the square deployment of the Weigh Station.And it gives the minimum design requirements of each elements,such as the length of the pre-inspection island,the width of the square,the length of the straight section and so on,it analyses the net distance between the exits of the tunnel and the Weigh Station by using the lane change theory,and establishes a calculation model.After this,the minimum clearance value is determined.At last the safety policies of the whole plan are proposed.
