With the continuous development of road transportation in China,the design service life of some bridges has gradually reached the upper limit.At the same time,due to changes in design specifications,human factors(such as construction technology limitation,maintenance failures and design errors,etc.),disasters(such as strong degrees of earthquakes,fires,accidental impacts,etc.),and environmental factors,etc.,which result in different degrees of damage to the bridge structure itself,and the reinforcement and upgrading of old bridges is imminent.However,there are some obvious deficiencies in current commonly used reinforcement methods in our country,which have certain restrictions and cannot be widely used in various bridge span structures.Since material field has made great progress,it is possible to propose a new type of bridge reinforcement method.The HTRCS material(full name: High Toughness Resin Concrete with Steel Mesh)involved in this paper is a new composite material with high tensile strength,good toughness,and strong adhesion.At present,there is little research and application of this kind of material at home and abroad.In this paper,the scaled model test of RC beams strengthened by HTRCS was carried out.Based on the existing reinforcement projects,the bending mechanical properties of HTRCS strengthened RC beams were investigated.The main research contents of this article has the following points:1.The flexural performance tests of five test beams reinforced with HTCCS and one comparative beam were carried out to investigate the influence of HRTCS reinforcement length,steel mesh reinforcement,holding load level and wire mesh type to the cracking load,yield of the tested beams,failure loads and crack development.2.Using ABAQUS finite element software to simulate the whole process of test beam failure and analyze the mechanical properties of the beam during the failure process,and verify the feasibility of the finite element calculation.3.Through/Based on the bridge load test of a hollow slab girder bridge in Chengdu,the datas such as deflection and strain were collected and analyzed.Two different reinforcement methods for HTRCS and bonded steel plates were used to compare and analyze the strengthening effect of HTRCS.
