Along with the development of the power engineering technology,various grid-connected distributed power appearing in the modern power grid,which present new challenges to the operation and scheduling of power grid,and the introduction of energy storage technology can be used as a kind of "power router",to break the traditional electricity on the limit of time and space,enhance the practicality and flexibility of new energy technologies.In many types of energy storage batteries,vanadium redox flow battery has the advantages of long operation life,high efficiency,safety and stability.Vanadium battery currently is more used in the research of power regulation on the grid side,as the state encourages the demand side reform policy,it will be more and more important to study the energy storage system of corresponding capacity level and its power regulation.Therefore,this paper is based on the energy storage system of vanadium redox flow battery,combined with the grid-connected control strategy,and the energy storage system is divided into two aspects: operation and control.First,the characteristics of energy storage system of vanadium redox flow battery itself are researched and analyzed,analyze its advantages,the operation of the vanadium battery ontology and the economical operation of the battery management system are discussed,put forward the variable-frequency operation for driven pump in liquid-battery and the method of economical operation in user side,and then verified by experiment and numerical example.Secondly,analyzed the basic principle and topology of power control circuit used in the project,the working principle of DC/DC module and DC/AC module is analyzed in detail,the independent control methods of active power and reactive power of energy storage system are studied,the voltage and current synchronization control and grid-connection strategy of energy storage system is discussed,analyzes the operation process and establish a mathematical model,and then the feasibility of the simulation is verified on the MATLAB platform.At last,in this paper,a vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system of 125KW/2h is designed and assembled from the requirements of the actual project,select and install the electrical equipments which are required for the project,debug the power control circuit.The feasibility of the proposed strategy is verified by experiments in the system,which provided a certain basis for the promotion and application of vanadium battery in the medium and small power occasions.
