Study On Conservation And Development Planning Of Liancheng Famous Historical And Cultural Town From The Perspective Of Watershed Culture

The conservation of historical villages and towns requires an all-around perspective and systematic strategies based on the local conditions.Selecting Datong River,a secondary tributary of the Yellow River,and Liancheng Town,a historical town,as the objects,the study found out that: the conservation planning often focuses on the man-made environment,and such modeled planning that departs the historical evolution process from the cultural context,making the cultural landscapes lose their role being a spiritual bond.As a result,the historical villages and towns face new difficulties of being similar and commercialization during the development and construction in the new era.Through the analysis of the coupling relationship between the natural spaces and human environment in the Datong River watershed,and the summary of history in the river watershed,this paper comes up with the planning compile and suggestion for the conservation and development of Liancheng Town.First,to build culture-sharing villages and towns’ communities,using the historical influence of the watershed culture and the social relations formed through years of inheritance;second,to break the situation of isolated conservation for the villages and towns,and establish a multi-dimensional planning network that covers all kinds of historical and environmental factors;finally,the conservation of the internal physical spaces in the villages and towns shall follow the planning concept of dynamic,continuous,and collage,in order to promote the cultural heritage to be better passed on,updated and developed.
