In recent years,with the development of polar routes,the optimization technology of polar oil tanker cargo heating and thermal insulation has gradually become one of the concerns.However,the relevant results of the polar special environment on cargo heating and thermal insulation have not been published.With the deepening development of arctic oil and gas resources and the smooth flow of the arctic routes,the number of polar oil tankers will increase significantly,and the economics of oil tanker operations and pollution of the polar environment will receive increasing attention.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,a very large crude carrier(VLCC)side tank was selected as the prototype,the study object is cargo oil with certain fluidity(normal cargo oil).The convection heat transfer process of the cargo oil was described according to mass conservation,energy conservation and momentum conservation equations.The numerical simulation was used to establish the scale physical model and the three-dimensional full scale numerical model.Secondly,based on the selected numerical model,the accuracy and reliability of the numerical model were verified by the scale model experiment data.The characteristics of the temperature field and velocity field of cargo oil under static environment and low temperature static environment were studied.The variation law of heat flux on different wall surfaces was analyzed.By comparing and analyzing the variation of parameters under low temperature environment and normal temperature environment,the influence of polar low temperature on heat transfer mechanism was obtained.Thirdly,the mechanism of forced convection for cargo oil heat transfer under sloshing environment was explored.Through comparison and analysis of flow field and bulk heat flux in the process of cargo oil heating under sloshing environment and still environment,the influence mechanism of sloshing of cargo tank on the heating process of cargo oil was obtained.Based on the above studies,the energy saving scheme during the heating process was obtained.This paper provides a support for the realization of the accurate control on the thermal insulation of the oil by the polar oil tanker,the reduction of the operating cost and the reduction of the environmental pollution in the polar regions.
