The vehicle exhaust emission has become one of the major causes of ecological environment problems.With the increasing vehicle ownership in our country,road traffic emission has become the most important reason to generate air pollutants.In the urban traffic congestion road conditions,vehicles always drive at lower speed and stopping repeatedly,so that vehicles' engines work at the low revolving speed operating mode for a long time,which will cause incomplete combustion of gasoline and more exhaust emissions.Therefore,vehicles stop-and-go control system is one of the effective means to solve the exhaust emissions problems.At present,the technology of connected vehicles is becoming more and more mature.Under this background,the model in this paper is established by CMEM emission calculation model and the minimum safety distance Car-Following model in the environment of connected vehicles,and the intelligent control system of stop-and-go for the sake of exhaust emissions reduction,safe,efficient and comfortable driving is realized.First of all,the research status,the significance and the related technology of this paper is introduced in detail.The CMEM model is selected for the emission measurement of the subject by comparison.And the main methods of car following model is summarized.The minimum safety distance model is adopted to the vehicle stop-and-go control.Then,the technology of connected vehicles and its impact on traffic flow are introduced.At last,the structure of the system is designed,including system composition diagram,model structure diagram and system flow chart.Secondly,in order to solve the problems in the process of acquiring system status information from connected vehicles,we choose the Unscented Kalman Filtering(UKF)method.The current system state can be predicted by UKF with the historical system state.After that,the multi-objectives optimization model is established to minimize the emissions of pollutants,maximize the following efficiency and the comfort level.And then,the solution of the optimization problem is discussed in the paper.Finally,the simulation analysis of the intelligent vehicles stop-and-go control system for connected vehicles is carried out.First,the UKF is used to predict the running status of the leading vehicle,and the results are compared with the measured data.The results show that the method is effective and accurate.Then,according to the predicted vehicle's running status,the optimization model of the stop-and-go control is solved and the speed,acceleration,emissions and other parameters are figured out.The simulation results show that the intelligent control system can realize the safe,efficient and comfortable operating mode of vehicles,which can significantly reduce the exhaust emissions during vehicles driving.
