Vast space is always the cradle of human exploration.In space,there are a lot of radiation such as ultraviolet,X ray and beta ray from cytaster aster,therefore,it is of great significance to develop a kind of detector that can capture and determine the location and intensity of the radiation sources.The photon-counting imaging detector with micro-channel plate(MCP)and position-sensitive anode can completely satisfy requirements that people detect these light radiation and particles due to its high sensitivity and high resolution,and have been widely used in the field of space detection.The research into photon-counting imaging detector with MCP and position-sensitive anode was started late in China,the detector performance is also quite different from that of foreign detectors.The cross strip anode photon-counting imaging detector in this paper has a potential advantage of the maximum count rate and spatial resolution.At present it is one of the hottest detectors in the field of space exploration.In addition,It is also used in the field of nuclear electronic research,biological photon detection and solar blind ultraviolet detection.The cross strip anode photon counting imaging detector mainly consists of the incident window,the photocathode,MCP stack,the cross strip anode and the corresponding position readout circuit system.After a period of exposure,detector can get the twodimensional image of a detection target according to accumulative position coordinates of a large number of incoming photons.Firstly,the decoding error of the cross strip anode is analyzed in theory,then the structure parameters of the anode are determined by the numerical simulation results,and the cross strip anode with 32-electrode in X and Y direction are made by thick film circuit technology in the light of these parameters.By sampling and analyzing the charge pulse signals from the anode's electrodes,it is estimated that the maximum spatial resolution of the detector is about 4?m,under the premise of the design parameters and the high performance charge sensitive preamplifier provided by the laboratory.This has important guiding significance for the structural design of XS anode and the noise control of the position readout circuit system.Secondly,a position readout circuit system suitable for the cross strip anode detector is designed and fabricated,which includes two 32-channel front-end and a 64-channel data processing circuit boards.The system can convert 64-channel charge pulse signals from two 32-channel electrodes in X and Y direction into digital signals and upload them to the computer for position decoding.The front-end circuit boards has the advantages of small area and light weight.it can realize the amplification function of the anode charge signal and directly plug into the back connector of the detector.The data processing circuit board can sample and transform the 64-channel pulse signals into digital ones at the same time and upload mass data through the high-speed data interface.
