In modern aviation system of human-computer interaction,especially in the UAV system,the operator no longer performs simple manual operation,but reduce the physical load,gradually toward its monitoring and regulation,and control systems operating status develop,Increasing the staffs cognitive load requirements.In some complex tasks of UAV operations,UAV operators are often in a state of information-intensive time/space environment,need to focus on a variety of flight information,and can handle large amounts of information of the right decisions on process optimization.This requires pilots rationally allocate their own attention/cognitive load resources.This article will be about how to systematically quantitatively analyze and evaluate the status of cognitive load to conduct a preliminary exploration and study the relationship between cognitive load and situational awareness,which includes following parts:(1)This paper mainly describes the problems encountered by pilots in carrying out operational tasks,leading to the importance of cognitive load and situational awareness of UAS operation,and introduces the UAV operation,the classification of cognitive load,the method of cognitive load evaluation,the method of cognitive assessment and the concept of situational awareness.This part laid the foundation for the following research of cognitive load requirements.(2)Research of the cognitive load of UAV basic tasks.By analyzing the operational characteristics of UAV operators,the phase flow of each task is distinguished according to the cognitive system.Based on the characteristics of UAV operational tasks,Man-machine basic task experiment,combined with performance and subjective scales to qualitatively analyze the main influencing factors of cognitive load in each system,and study the influence of various factors on the UAV operators.(3)Research on comprehensive evaluation method of cognitive load.Based on the advantages and disadvantages of various evaluation methods of cognitive load,this paper establishes a mathematical model of comprehensive evaluation method,which combines subjective evaluation,the main task evaluation and physiological index evaluation,and design the comparative experiment to verify the reliability of the model.(4)Experimental research on situational awareness under different cognitive load.In this paper,we designed several comparative experiment to study the situation of different visual situational awareness level of different training trainees within different task environments,and analyze the effects of different levels of cognitive load on the level of situational awareness trainees according to task completion.
