At the present, the residential construction is in a stage of rapid development.Housing Industrialization is an important direction of development of the construction industry, and prefabricated RC shear wall structure is a structural system which conforms to the development of housing industrialization. For prefabricated RC shear wall structure, the reliable connection between the upper and lower prefabricated walls is the guarantee of structural integrity and good seismic capacity. In this paper,a kind of cast-in-place wedge-shaped connection which connect the upper and lower prefabricated shear wall panels was put forward and then the seismic performance of this kind of shear wall was studied. The main research works and results are as follows:(1)Prefabricated RC shear wall specimen with shear-span ratio of 2.1 was tested, and the load-displacement curve, the failure process, the failure mode, displacement at different height of wall and the strain state of the bars were observed. The test results show that the failure mode of the precast wall specimen is that the vertical reinforcements yielded in tension, the concrete failed in compression, and the horizontal cracks between new and old concrete fully developed. The current code formulas are suitable for calculating the bearing capacity of the prefabricated shear wall. The ultimate drift angle of the specimen is 1/59.The lateral load-displacement hysteretic loop of the specimen is plump and its ductility performance satisfies requirements of the design code.(2)The finite element analysis models for prefabricated RC shear wall specimen were set up with ABAQUS and OpenSees. The behavior of the interface between new and old concrete was taken into consideration.Different elements are used for simulation according to the characteristics of the finite element softwares. Finally, the results of finite element simulation are in good agreement with the experimental results, which proves the feasibility of the finite element model.(3)Based on the proposed finite element model, the influences of different parameters, including axial compression ratio, shear span ratio, wedge angle and the height of the bottom of the upper wall, were studied. The results show that the increase of axial compression ratio will increase the bearing capacity and reduce the energy dissipation capacity of the reinforced concrete shear wall.On the contrary, the increase of shear span ratio will decrease the bearing capacity and increase the energy dissipation capacity. In addition, the slope of wedge-shaped connection and the height of the bottom of the upper wall have no obvious influence on the bearing capacity and energy dissipation capacity of the prefabricated shear wall.
