The berthing of a ship is a low speed motion,which is changing the state of motion to a static,the decrease of speed makes the ship maneuverability lower,complicated flow field of the open dock increases the difficulty to maneuver a berthing ship,which leads to the problem of the ship’s safety berthing.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the analysis of ship hydrodynamic during berthing in flow.With the development of computer science and technology,the computational fluid dynamics numerical simulation method has been widely applied to solve the ship hydrodynamic problems for its advantages of saving time and economic cost,include container ships,so it is one of the methods to solve ship hydrodynamic.But the accuracy of the mathematical model is one of problem,therefore,the numerical simulation results need to be compared with the conventional theoretical analysis method and the pool test method.Using the numerical simulation method to analyze the hydrodynamic force of a berthing ship.First simulated series 60 ship model which has been maintained from the international towing pool meeting,then to compare the obtained results and the experimental date,it is proved that the numerical simulation results of the ship model are reliable,which shows that the numerical simulation method based on CFD is feasible at the present stage.Then using the SIMPLEC algorithm to solve the incompressible RANS equation,numerical simulation of ship berthing at continuous berth and jetty single berth.In the simulation,the velocity of flow,the distance between the ship and the wharf front,considered the berthing angle,and the depth of water.Analysis of various factors on the ship resistance,the sway force and yaw moment of the impact.Through the analysis of numerical simulation,obtained the hydrodynamic parameters of a berthing ship.On the one hand,it embodies the application prospect of numerical calculation method in ship hydrodynamic,it also can be used as a reference for similar research;On the other hand,predicted the force and the flow field around the ship under the influence of many factors,the results can provide a reference for the pilots and captain to use thruster and tugs and other auxiliary equipment. |
