Additive manufacturing technique is an advanced manufacturing technology with which three-dimensional models are directly transformed into solid parts layer by layer without blanks and molds needed in traditional processing methods.However,the technology is not popular in industry because of the high price and long production cycle of the additive manufacturing equipment.How to reduce the cost of production and shorten the manufacturing cycle on additive manufacturing equipment are the goals pursued by manufacturers.In addition,how to efficiently manage the large number of product data and various documents raised in the development and manufacture period of additive manufacturing equipment is also important for the manufactures.Therefore,in this thesis,Product Data Management(PDM)system for additive manufacturing equipment is developed with a case in an additive manufacturing equipment company in Changsha.(1)PDM system requirements analysis.Through the investigation and analysis of the company,and finding out the problems of the company’s product data management on additive manufacturing equipment.According to these problems,the demand analysis of PDM system to determine the system’s various modules and the functionality of the system.(2)Constructed the system structure of PDM frame.The PDM system of additive manufacturing equipment has a C/S three layer structures,according to the general construction method of PDM system.(3)The design of the database.Combined with the actual situation of the company,the MySQL database is used as the underlying database system for the system.According to the various departments of the company’s work processes and requirements,the underlying database is designed.Through the designing of data tables in the underlying database,the data which the manufacture process of the additive manufacturing equipment produced is stored,and it also provided data support for the.(4)PDM system design and implementation.Based on the requirement analysis of PDM system,the C#language is used as the development tool.With the using of C#,which has powerful operational capabilities,innovative language,visual programming interface and other characteristics,the various functional modules is designed and the additive manufacturing equipment of product structure tree is built.Through examples to illustrate the product data management system to achieve the various functions.
