Spectrum analysis technology in today’s plays an important role in the production practice and scientific research,with the rapid development of computer,microelectronics and embedded technology[33],traditional instruments are gradually towards the direction of virtual instrument,with the combination of virtual instrument technology and embedded technology is more and more closely.Based on virtual instrument technology,embedded technology and data acquisition technology,this paper presents a design scheme of spectrum analyzer based on virtual instrument.When the project design based on Lab VIEW,FPGA development suite designed a digital spectrum analyzer used in colleges and universities study platform,platform including RF signal real-time acquisition,storage,analysis and display function.System based on fast Fourier transform(FFT)technique,use FPGA as the lower machine to complete the intermediate frequency conversion control and collection and storage,then use the Lab VIEW platform development PC as a PC receives and analysis of digital signal processing.The virtual spectrum analyzer designed can realize real-time data acquisition and processing,at the same time has the very good UI interface,simple operation,the user can convenient for data analysis.Hardware development platform to the FPGA as the core,so it has a good expansibility,can in the later according to the needs of the experiment,increase the expand client interface to the hardware,and Lab VIEW VI library integrated with rich function algorithm,can achieve a good experiment platform of autonomy and freedom.The system is based on the idea of module in the design process,and the development of software and hardware is carried out separately.LabVIEW language is the development environment of the upper computer software,and the control core of the lower machine is the Altera Qsys.In the data acquisition module,the system includes real-time signal acquisition circuit,Ethernet and USB communication way of implements and the upper machine data and control the communication of information,and completed the data storage,preview and remote control system.In the signal analysis module of LabVIEW,the system USES the traditional method to analyze the signal,and also contains a variety of modern spectral analysis methods to complete the multifaceted analysis of the rf signal.
