More than 90 percent of all road traffic accidents are related to driver factors.Bus drivers,as the only operator in the operation process,their visual,physiological and operational merits will have a direct impact on their satety and other traffic participants.So the bus driver handling qulity deserved very high research value.The handling quality of bus driver will have an important impact on the safety of traffic participants.Based on the cognitive psychology,this paper studied the visual,physiological and handling characteristics of bus drivers in the outbound operation during the real vehicle test with the excellent and the general bus drivers,and then established the evaluation model of drivers' handling quality in outbound operation.Based on field research and theoretical analysis,the bus drivers' characterization parameters and the influencing factors of their handling qualities were drawn.The real vehicle test was designed and implemented.And then,the drivers' characterization parameters were acquired and analyzed,including the different drivers' visual,physical and handling characteristics variation law in the outbound operations,and the significant difference in operation quality between the excellent and general bus drivers in the outbound operation stage were found..Using the method of analytic hierarchy process,the basic characterization parameters of different drivers in the outbound operation were analyzed,and then the evaluation index of drivers' handling operation quality were determined and normalized.The BP neural network algorithm and MATLAB software were used to create the network and select the model parameters,the training samples and the test samples.The network code was written and the evaluation model of bus drivers' handling quality in the outbound operation was established.The results showed that the predictive accuracy of this BP neural network model is satistactory for evaluation.
