Wind tunnels,as an important equipment for providing and assuring various aerodynamic tests,are being used more and more,as aerospace and industrial aerodynamics booming.When confronted with the new requirements of aerodynamic test on the performance and function of wind tunnel structure,the traditional design method has been limited by manpower and efficiency.Considering the rapid development of various modern theories and design methods and the fact that they have not been widely used in wind tunnel design,therefore,the method of optimal design and intelligent design is introduced into the design of wind tunnel to meet the requirements of the wind tunnel design.On this basis,the idea and direction are provided for establishing a set of wind tunnel design system with high efficiency and rapidity.The paper takes low speed wind tunnel as the research object.Firstly,the basic principles and technical guidance are provided for the application of the new method in the design of the wind tunnel through the research on the theory optimization design and intelligent design.Secondly,the basic parameters and design process of the wind tunnel are summarized,and the design process of the wind tunnel is determined,which includes three stages:the initial plan design,the optimization design and the detailed parameter design.In the initial design stage,the knowledge of wind tunnel is processed by using intelligent design method,the knowledge base is established by production rule,the inference engine is established by forward reasoning method,combined with the human-computer interface and database,the prototype of wind tunnel initial design is set up.In the optimal design stage,the wind tunnel optimization process is divided into three sub processes.For each sub process,the suitable mathematical model is built,and the appropriate methods,including unified target method and interior point method and so on,are selected,and the algorithm program block diagram is listed.The detailed parameter design phase is mainly to use the optimized parameters to get the detailed dimensions of the various parts of the wind tunnel.Finally,MATLAB is used to write calculation program and graphical user interface to realize the application of optimization and intelligent method in the design of wind tunnel,and the feasibility of the design method is verified by an example.
