The technology of unique articulated steering system combining with a high-performance moving subsystem is adopt to the double tracked vehicle,hence the performance of all-terrain and maneuverability will be promoted substantially.The mathematic model of double tracked vehicle is founded.Therefore,the factors resulting in the steering resistance moment of double tracked vehicle is analyzed,and the steering resistance moment is calculated via the mechanism of steering and Bekker theory method,as well as the evaluation of pitching performance.The analysis above-mentioned provides the theory basis for the design of the double tracked vehicle.The kinematics and dynamics analysis of the steering operation in different working conditions are carried out by the RecurDyn software in this paper.The steering torque which is required to turn in place in different soils and the steering stability parameters are obtained through the simulation analysis.The PID actuated model is established for the control of vehicle velocity.And the influence of the velocity,the mass ratio of front and rear vehicle,the distance between the mass center of front vehicle and rear one and the steering angle for the steering performance of the vehicle is analyzed.The influence parameters include the turning radius,the inaccuracy of steering,the increasing rate of driven force,the actuated torque of steering and so on.The vehicle steering performance that is got through the simulation analysis of steering process will play an important role in the vehicle driving and the revised design.The hinge mechanism is a core component of the double tracked vehicle steering system,its strength and stiffness have a major impact on the service life and reliability.The three-dimensional solid model and finite element model of the vehicle body and the hinge mechanism are established.The constraints and loads are imposed on the finite element model of the hinge mechanism in ANSYS software,and then the simulation results are got to analyze the strength and stiffness of the hinge mechanism,and to study its ability to resist deformation and fracture failure,as well as to verify the safety and rationality of the structural design.The section of the structure with great deformation and stress will be redesigned,and analyzed by finite element analysis again to validate the reasonability of improvement.The analysis of the hinge mechanism by finite element analysis will provide guideline to the design of the steering mechanism of the tracked vehicle.
