With the proposal of the strategy of maritime power and the constant development of green marine economy,it became an important job to protect the marine environment.Adaption to this is the increasing environmental requirement to the protective coatings of ships and ocean structure,and the development of antifouling coatings tend to be waterborne,low-toxic and nontoxic.The insidious antifouling coatings became the common focus area domestic and overseas.Application market of fouling release coatings without poison that can't release anything to the ocean is expanding,which is tend to increase constantly and replace traditional toxic release antifouling coatings gradually.However,fouling release coatings existing are all of solvent,which pollute the air due to the emission of large quantities of harmful gas during production and construction.So a kind of fouling release coating based silicone emulsion were prepared in this paper.Cationic hydroxy silicone oil emulsion DY-OH5011and water-based silicone rubber DY-OH302,anionic hydroxy silicone oil emulsion DY-OH5012,hydroxy silicone oil emulsion DY-OH5014 and water-based silicone rubber DY-OH301 were selected as major film forming material,tetraethoxysilicane(TEOS)and dibutyltin dilaurate(DBTL)were as crosslinking agent and catalyst to prepare the coatings.The best film forming material DY-OH302 was selected by comparing their contact angle,mechanical properties,surface energy and surface topography.Then the influences of titanium dioxide,MWCNTs,diatomite,graphite and CaSO4 whiskers on silicone emulsion coatings were compared and studied while DY-OH302 was as the film forming material and silicon dioxide as the reinforced powder.Finally the impact of multi-wall carbon nanotubes'(MWCNTs)outer diameter on the properties of silicone emulsion coatings was studied,and the anti-fouling performance of the coatings was explored through the adhesion experiments of marine bacteria and benthic diatom in lab and test of coatings on steel plate in seawater.The results showed:DY-OH302 films had the smallest surface roughness and the lowest surface energy 11.27mJ/m2,also the smallest ?E?.Surface roughness and surface energy,breaking strength and ductility of the films became larger with the addition of the powder.It wasn't found shrinkage holes and sinking in films with MWCNTs,of which the integrated mechanical properties were the best and breaking strength was well above films with other powder.Surface roughness of the films decreased with the increasing of MWCNTs' outer diameter.Surface energy of films with TNSM8 was the minimum,elastic modulus and ductility of which were the maximum.Films with TNSM7 worked best in releasing bacteria and benthic diatom.?E? of films with TNSM5 was the minimum,the adhesion amount of bacteria and benthic diatom of which were the minimum.Fouling-release performance of the films became weaken when the ply adhesion decreased.After 30 days of panel tests of coatings in seawater,films with TNSM8 showed better fouling-release performance,and the surface of which was still keep in good condition even after cleaning.
